    awful reading.

all we can hope is that some serious change can come out of this, and a seriously big settlement makes its way to Magomed and his family.

For all their faults the BBBoC might be the best in the world when it comes to safety of fighters. Fighters get regular brain scans (Jamie Moore retired in his prime after finding his brain was starting to receive permanent damage due to one of these scans) and the post fight care is second to none (see how he Blackwell case went down in comparison to Magomed).

They had to buck their ideas up after the Watson and McClellan tragedies in the 90's. Hopefully the NYSAC (and other US commisions) have a similar awakening.

A terrible boxing tragedy with Magomed just a shame

The NY Boxing commission should pay all the medical bills for Magomed and also give him and his family $10 million. The money isn't much considering the loss the russian suffered. But why wouldn't all fighters havew a blanket insurance policy covering them in each fight paid for by the greedy seedy promoters of the fight and the state commission??

Despite everything going on here, NYSAC still has probably one of the more competent boxing commissions. The level of corruption here is probably no less than you'd find in LV or CA, and probably far less than you'd find in TX.
Eastcoast... How could you fail to mention the Pennsylvania commission, There is an on-line petition to fire the little person Executive Director signed by a couple of hundred people, and that's just from the MMA community...

Greg Sirb, massively unprofessional and incompetent. I didn't realize he was still around. I remember Stann going about him for medicals during weight cuts. Blame the governor for not replacing him.
