it's GGG's team that's the problem with him getting the big fights and they're massively overrating his star power and should've tried to negotiate the Ward fight which would've been his biggest fight and payday?

No they will not admit any of that but they will say 150K which is the most reported number and they will also claim (correctly) that TC has the American fan following which a Kazak and a Canadian didn't.

I hope this PPV did well for TC's and Boxings sake. Golovkin's brand is growing every day. I don't think any of them think they made the wrong choice.

        You're speaking sense.
One guy doing better than another on a PP. can have dozens of reasons behind it.
Crawford is a fantastic talent, so is Golovkin.

He isn't a big enough star to get the opponents he wants, that's for sure - unless you subscribe to the theory that he's doesn't want tougher fights. However the Ward fight wouldn't have been bigger than GGG - Canelo which was the direction they chose, however mistaken that may look in hindsight.

You mean the same American fan base that many on here make fun of because they don't really get behind their fighters? GGG is sponsored by both Apple and Jordan and has far more of a push behind him. We all know he is more popular than TC. TC isn't the loud mouthed trash talking urban kid, he's a quiet dude from Nebraska, in America that isn't going to get you a big following. Also, he was fighting a guy from the Ukraine who nobody outside of die hards knew. Not to mention GGG's fight was two knockout punchers against each other, so there is that excitement factor they could play on.

GGG's PPV whether it was 97 or 150K should by all means do better than TC. If it doesn't then oh well, no big deal

97k was a Glaser number so just don't compare a Top Rank press release figure to a Glaser figure.

This obsession with detracting from Golovkin has officially gotten out of hand. Crawford's win has inspired more thread about Golovkin than it has about Crawford. These are two fighters who are three weight classes apart who have absolutely nothing to do with each other. But yet somehow, the detractors have found a way to make this about Golovkin. For one thing that's a smack in the face to Crawford's win. Second, it shows that their obsession with Golovkin is even worse than we thought.

Motorcity Cobra, CaneloMadaina, Larryxxx Sugarkainehook seriously need help. Of course there are plenty of other detractors but these guys have shown to be the worst.

It's nuts. I didn't stay up for the fight, instead i recorded it and watched it when i woke up on Sunday morning.
I came on here after watching the fight , scrolled through the posts i'd missed, and expected to see posts about how good Crawford's performance was, how he's changed people's opinions on home ect. But instead there was more threads about Golovkin.

Crawford just unified, became lineal, via dominating a really good fighter, climbing the P4P list in the process. And instead the same guys as always turned the Crawford threads into GGG threads before the thread at even hit 5 posts.

It's embarrassing. It's becoming a chore visiting the forums these days.
