Exactly. When you're so close to death like that (one inch could have made the difference) then what is boxing in comparison? I'm sure does experience a little nerves but boy does he hide it well. Him, Rigo and Ward are the calmness dudes I've seen. Floyd walking to the ring always looked edgy to me.

This is boxing not the streets. Street guys have been in boxing since the 1900s they are nothing new.
Hank Lundy is said to have ties to the streets and he can't stop running his mouth .

Another quiet dude who was heavy in the streets was Anthony Joshua!!..dude was facing life in prison at one point.

Considering you have never seen any part of the streets and probably listen to Chief Keef I can see how you would be easily fooled by this.

You have no say in confirming street cred. People will say **** all the time to hype themselves up. If you honestly think a guy who supposedly sold drugs, killed, robbed, etc. is going to disclose that to the entire world then you are very weak minded.

Man, they make stuff up on TV all the time. It might have grazed by him or something. I remember they tried making out that Peterson and Ortiz were some street urchins and then the truth came out that they weren't.

Here's Tim Bradley talking about the first time he met Crawford when he brought him in as a sparring partner. Tim says he usually doesn't interact with sparring partners outside of the gym but Crawford was different. A family man like himself. Very nice, very humble.

the Box Nation stream was in the middle of a conversation about Crawford's style in the ring and the moment one of them said "he's street" they cut off his mic. I'm more than sure this is what the thread was influenced by... and it's certainly HBO or Top Rank advisory doesn't want to exaggerate by selling its star.

Crawford doesn't come off as anything "street."

No like I said in a previous post this thread was influenced the recent countdown documentary that aired which featured Crawford back in his home town. That's when the story of his life was told.
