if ward does his 'head control' on kovalev, kovalev will respond with his own version, e.g knocking wards head off
Will Ward beat Kovalev in similar fashion as Crawford??

When a fan just wants to watch big punchers because that's all they can understand, that's fine. But, don't start talking shyt about a guy like Ward not being slick because you clearly can't hang in that convo.Comment

WTF? Do you even know what that terms means? Never mind, you don't and are unwilling to learn.

Just cos 2 guys are black doesn't mean they fight the same. Ward is a lot slower on his feet and a lot stronger on the inside, plus he holds a lot more and is very adept at using his head and elbow. Ward will win in a much more physical and ugly fight.Comment

I would be even more surprised than I was by Crawford/Postol. Mainly because Kovalev has that vicious streak that would never accept getting outboxed and humiliated round after round like Postol accepted it. Kovalev will get ugly and try to force the fight in ways Postol did not.
Also, Kovalev is used to being the aggressor, where Postol is used to being the boxer.Comment

no, but i think kov will have periods of trigger shyness like postol had just bc ward will definitively counter his right making him scared to pull it.Comment

Ward doesn't move around like Crawford, he feels more comfortable controlling the action from up close even though he'll move a little from time to time. On top of that, Kovalev ain't afraid to get dirty, Postol was afraid to take chances and waited until the last round to try and make things happen.
Just no, it never crossed me.Comment
