The exact same thing I though, Crawford turned Postol's clinching from a defensive tactic to stop Crawford offense and to get rest to a very painfully rough experience, it was funny that towards the end of the fight they tangled up and surprisingly enough Postol didn't even try to hold, he just put his hands up and waited for the ref to break them up. He didn't have the time nor he was ready to deal with Crawford's rough house tactics on the inside, that to me was one of the primary reasons why Crawford won since clinching is one of Postol's most important strategies
Yep, spot on. It's almost like seeing Wlad fighting without clinching (he doesn't know how).
This should be good training material for fighters preparing for a clincher.
