The HBO commentators know the performance itself is ugly and impossible to enjoy, which is why they know they have to ****e it up with propaganda. Why do you think these days they barely commentate the fight anymore, and dedicate 98% of their commentating time to "analysis" of the A-side fighter talking about how great he is? They don't talk about uppercuts, hooks, straights, what's happening in the fight, they just throw it to Roy Jones and Max Kellerman over and over again every round to reinforce in your mind how amazing what you're watching is.

It's just common sense, if it was really that amazing, they wouldn't have to keep telling you, trying to make you believe it. It would speak for itself. But like any objective boxing fan, they know that no 3 punches to 2 punches rounds can ever speak for themselves, so they have to add the spin.

And I'm someone who appreciates Rigondeaux, for instance, because he stands right in front of his opponent, and doesn't run until he's up very late in the fight. Then he kind of coasts and that's why he gets some criticism. But for 75% of the fight he offers the smoothest boxing you will see, right in the pocket. Same with Lomachenko. But tonight Crawford circled and juked like a running back from the opening bell. It was the most running compared with the least punching I've ever seen in a fight. Crawford has skills but he it was like he was scared of Postol because he could have taken him out. He had the dominant skill set but still fought more defensively than Lara did against Canelo. Maybe the 15 seconds of trading in round 12 before running again tricked you because he added the taunts which some people seem to think should count as knockdowns, but they didn't trick me. Biggest dud fight of the year. Crawford used the Lara strategy while making Lara look like Pacquiao. And then he even ducked the question about fighting Pacquiao.
oh god the ****** it hurts. For the sake of this board please go eat paste in your room away from the Internet.

I will mock him when Kovalev beats him.
You forget that Ward swept the Super 6? Those weren't nobody's that he fought. Staying on subject though, Crawford is a genuine bada$$

140 isn't that great of a division right now. 147??? He has a great chance of getting a loss. Postol head hunted the WHOLE time and went FULL RTARD!

Props to Crawford though!!! You made Postol a RTARD and chase you around all night.

Postol is not a come forward fighter Crawford made him look bad

Spence vs. Crawford is going to be THE fight in those weight classes in a few years.
I've been predicting that Spence would dominate 147 for the next few years, but Terence would be his toughest fight (I predicted Crawford and Brook would be Spence's toughest fights, but we don't know what Brook is doing and he may not go back down to 147.)
Will Spence be able to cut the ring off on Crawford? I've seen Spence (in the amateurs) struggle with movement/great footwork.
Having said that, the fighter that made Spence look silly with movement was Serik Sapiyev who is one of the greatest amateur boxers of recent times (even of all time). I've seen Sapiyev and I've seen Crawford and Crawford is no Sapiyev.
It's still going to be interesting to see how Spence handles Crawford's movement. I doubt Crawford is going to stay right in front of a strong guy like Spence. Spence will have to chase.
I predicted Spence would dominate 147 as long as he stays there and I will stay with what I said. I can't wait for the fight though. Hopefully we see it in a few years.

Oh btw, I (and I'm sure everybody else) still need to see more of Spence to be sure. I want to see him get tested more.
That would be fireworks. Agree with you 100%

Dam I hate boxing fans. Let me log out before I get baited into an argument with one of these idiots.
Damn, I forgot he was accused of ducking. Lol. Some people.

But he has done nothing since, and that doesn't take away the bad stuff i mentioned.

Agree with you but what did he have to work with? Postol isn't fast. He's not a power puncher. So what is? He has a slightly longer reach than Crawford and that's supposed to be enough all by itself for Roach to work with? Postol also went to war with Matthysse last fight, people forget, I thought he was about to get knocked out by Matthysse before he hurt his eye again. People forget that. We know what Danny, Ruslan, and John Molina all looked like their first fights back after fighting Matthysse. And Danny didn't even take as much punishment against Matthysse, because Matthysse's eye saved Danny, that Postol took. You could see after almost getting KO'd against Matthysse, Postol was gunshy and could not take a punch vs Crawford. Even that clinch shot early in the first that had no leverage, just sticking his glove up in Postol's face, seemed to bother him.

Anyway not much Roach could do with the less powerful, slower, less coordinated, slower footed fighter. Postol has one good win his entire career, against Matthysse, where he would have been knocked out if he didn't reinjure an old injury Matthysse had. Matthysse was also coming off the Provonikov WAR. Matthysse is also a come forward fighter tailor made for Postol's long reach. Postol's weaknesses are coordination, speed, and footwork, and Matthysse negated those weaknesses for him by walking into his uncoordinated punches. And yet Matthysse, coming off a war vs Provo, the perfect style matchup for Postol, was still kicking Postol's ass until he reinjured his eye. What does that tell you? Crawford is the opposite style, a nightmare for Postol, and that's what happened. Crawford beat him in the worst boring, defensive way possible, but Postol had no athleticism or power in his toolbox to stop it.

Pacquiao-Crawford would be very intriguing in November. Why the hell wouldn't Arum make it? Boxing is a joke. After May-Pac, they're going to marinate ANOTHER Pacquiao fight, at 37 years old lol? I mean boxing is a joke that's all you can say about it. Lost respect for Jim Lampley suggesting that isht.
