It wasn't boring, its a unification, it meant a lot to both of them, more then to us the fans, it was amazing to hear Crawfords corner tell him 'keep doing what you are doing and grab that f'kn belt!...The first 3 rounds seemed like a feeling out process until Bud figured Postol out. Crawford did look great, minus the un called for show boating since it seemed Crawford stuck to a serious game plan the whole fight, but as a PPV commodity maybe he should have stepped on the pedal a touch more to finish in style but overall to compare as to who is out there these days he proved he must be ranked as a top p4p.

Thanks! I just try not to blindly believe the commentary. They try to use that "branding" strategy of just repeating the same keyworks over and over until your subconscious accepts that you saw something amazing like they want you to believe. Sorry but, Crawford's athleticism and two-handed skills are top class, but the fight absolutely ****** and both fighters disappointed in their own ways.

I know exactly what you mean about hbo commentary, sometimes I have to mute it because of all the hyping/lies and no commenting on what actually happens in the ring.
commen sense and logic isn't just lacking in boxing/fans but in general sadly.
But I think it's good thing crawford won because many aa fans would quit watching boxing if bud lost and ward looses against kovalev.

tru! Didn't like the ref. That much??? He jumped on postol a lil too much when i saw many head hooks, and low blows from crawford...and postol with long arms got a point deduction. At least he wan't bayless though. That maidana/floyd fight 2. Sht maidana only had too look at floyd and he was penalized. And floyd didn't even need the assist lol.

They seem to really have a lot of stock in these eastern EU fighters. In the lead up they "especially that clown Kellerman" seemed like they wanted Postol to win to continue the eastern European dominance. They sounded just a little disappointed that Postol lost as bad as he did. Oh well, they still have GGG, Kovalev, and Lomachenko.

It was reported he did duck back then. Why didn't it happen 6 months ago when it should have? We got another useless tuneup instead. Crawford said "I was ready, I don't know why it didn't happen sooner or later." Well who does know then? Because the media reported you turned it down back then. Maybe it was his team, but someone made us wait an extra six months for a useless, dud fight. Some boxing fans I guess are so used to boxing bullisht, they accept that stuff, but some of us have higher expectations for boxing. We don't want ANY unnecessary delays for average HBO WCB matchups like this so we will be critical when they happen with the hope that this puts pressure on HBO and its boxers make these fights when the fans first ask for them. Instead of criticizing the fans who are doing this to try to improve the sport, you guys should put pressure on them too and not accept meaningless 6 month delays. I remember when fans accepted the useless 6 month delay for Canelo-Cotto and look how that has set back GGG's career, and the 154 and 160 divisions, even more. 6 months is still 6 months and we shouldn't act like it's cool to just push things back for no reason.

Think about it. They drag their feet 6 months to make Crawford-Postol. Then they make Pacquiao-Bradley instead of Pacquiao-Crawford. Now Lampley is saying Arum will want us to wait until November, 5 more months, for Pacquiao NOT to fight Crawford, and then another 5-6 months before making Pacquiao-Crawford next year, maybe, or maybe it will even wait until fall next year.

So they act like no ducking takes place, it's just a six month delay, but they always turn into 2 year delays, sometimes 3-4 years, before making the fights we want. Of course real boxing fans will complain about that! That is the attitude that is ruining the sport, period.

The word ducking gets thrown around if a fight doesn't get made in 2 hours and it's ridiculous. I don't why they didn't fight earlier, maybe it was Postol's fault who knows but I damn sure am not gonna say the guy that just put a straight beat down was scared of the guy he beat down.

So now somehow Matthyse was overrated, making Postol overrated, making Crawford overrated. I guess in a sense everyone in boxing is overrated? Except for GGG because he's beaten Monroe Jr, Wade, and company...

At what point do we start giving fighters respect? Did everyone forget the manner in which Matthysse was dispatching of his opponents? Quality guys like Peterson, Dallas, (relax i said quality, not elite) even giving Judah and Alexander tough fights. Can we not just say that Postol is a good fighter and Crawford is a damn good fighter? At the time a fighter should be enjoying there win they are under fire for not doing enough, not fighting this guy or that guy. He didn't do this, should a not done that, he's ducking, blah blah blah. Anyone besides Crawford would have steered very clear of Postol especially after what he just got done doing to Matthysse. After all, he was high risk and low reward. Not Bud though, he took the challenge like a true champion. So Cong**** Bud Crawford! Welcome to the top!

If you really take a close look at Postol, the guy hadn't beat any real challenges. Of the 2 biggest names on his resume... Matthysse just had a rough one with Provodnikov, and Aydin was also on the downside. Not taking a thing away from Crawford, he is the goods. And he will only get better. But those saying Postol would beat Crawford just weren't paying attention to who he'd fought before this matchup. It will be really interesting to see how Crawford does vs some elites in the division.

Cong**** to Terrence, would be surprised though if Vargas doesn't get the Pacquaio fight though. He's definitely the man at 140 now though.
