Its not just that G won't move up to fight Ward or Froch. It's that Loeffler, Sanchez, and Golovkin said he would fight anyone from 154-168 for years. Then he flat out refuses to even consider fighting Ward for at least a couple of years. Then Loeffler told Froch that G would fight him at a cw but not at 168 period. Then the biggest draw, the biggest "cash cow" in boxing today will fight him but only at 155 and Golovkin says he will only face him at 160. G is too big to make anything less than 160 for Canelo. But he is too small to move up to face Ward. I hate Canelo's cw bs as much as anyone and am not condoning this at all. But the fact remains if G honestly wanted a big fight he would have already had at least one. Lara has been calling him out for a while now but G won't even mention his name. Canelo is a ppv star because of fighting Trout and Lara. Really tough fights against top opponents but not top money. The dangerous fights. Golovkin has refused to take any top fighter. When did he make an offer, an actual contract to Maravilla? Why did he accept step-aside money from Cotto? Why did he agree to let Canelo fight Khan? Yes, a number of top fighters have refused to face G, but a number of top fighters HAVE been willing to. His "negotiations" with these fighters drag on and Golovkin has some excuse. But a fight with Wade or a with a WW is literally done in one day!

I suppose Kovalev absolutely needs to move up too. Hopefully Wilder moves up before it's all said and done otherwise he'll never be on the list of fighters who moved up!

Kovalev should absolutely move up, Bellew vs Kovalev would be huge.
Real fighters move up if there is anything above them.

Kell Brook is a huge underdog, but he is still a world champion, is active, is good and if people didn't cried when all those fighters jumped from division to division, don't cry for this.

Sturm is a good fighter i like him, but he run to europe to win a lot of controversial fights after losing a controversial fight himself.
