Exactly. The fight was close ONLY because Lara refused to let a fight take place in the first place. Both fighters were landing single digit punches per round because you had one guy running. That left a bad taste in everyone's mouth no matter who you rooted for. Fans don't want to see that again and Lara has no one to blame but himself for losing. When you fight like that you should NEVER be rewarded by the judges. I'll never pay to see Lara fight Canelo or anyone else. To be honest even if it's free chances are I will skip the fight.

NO True Boxer should land only 28% of their punches and almost the SAME amount of punches as the slow, plodder... I seen Lara in between rounds and HEARD those body blows!!! He had Lara pissing blood for a WEEK I bet...Lara just beat Vanes in a TERRIBLE boring @ss fight! I'd rather watch paint dry then this BS run, run, run sht.

Lol i just remember tunning in from rounds 6-12 and Lara was boxing the **** out of Canelo. Canelo looked like how he did Against Amir khan before the KO but he couldn't KO Lara lol. I'd watch that fight again, so your wrong buddy. No one wants to see Liam smith lmfao

Lara didn't do jack but turn and run all night. Both fighters landed basically the same amount of punches. Difference is Canelo landed the higher amount of power shots and was the aggressor going forward. Lara landed soft jabs and was running making the fight cringe worthy to watch. Judges and fans favor power and aggression not running. When rounds are close because one guy is running and out of range for any exchanges and you are avg 8 landed punches a round you ain't outboxing NOBODY. The fans who boo'd Lara all night are not going to pay to see that crap again. Tons of fans who hate Canelo and were rooting for Lara said I will never watch that fool Lara again.

Since that fight Lara can't even get fans to show up for his PBC fights even when they give away the tickets for free. Most fighters win or lose you gain more exposure from fighting on PPV. The opposite happened for Lara because he turned off so many fans that night.

Why bother??? Casual fans like him don't even count body punches... What round was it that Lara Literally RAN up his legs and was trying to sit on Canelo's shoulders???

Any time a fighter calls another fighter boring, it means they are making excuses about a tough fight. Plain and simple.

Not that this rematch is necessary or anything, but to pretend no one wants to see it? Please. More people would care about a Lara rematch than Liam Smith.
