the point of contention in our discussion is you comparing ricardo lopez going up divisions from the lower weights where really there is no need for all of those ridiculous divisions where they are separated by not much weight difference compared to duran who despite being of mix heritage (totally irrelevant to our discussion) started at 118lbs and won the middleweight crown from barkley and went 15 hard rounds vs one of the greatest middleweights in history in hagler cannot be compared to ricardo lopez measley division jump.

Yes, even Chocolatito or any of those guys in the lowers weight classes has it pretty easy these days as far as becoming multi-division champions. From 105-130, there are 8 freaking divisions. Ridiculous to say the least. 25 pounds total. 105, 115 and 122 should be done away with.

3 pounds? Come on, now. If a guy can fight at 105, he can fight at 108, no problem. Just excuses for more titles.

                WOW No love for Barrera.
My favorite mexicans are Sanchez, Saldivar and Barrera, but Sal is the greatest, he was too young when he died and still pick up an amazing resume.
