i really think they expected algieri to take him more rounds. i certainly did. now they probably feel liek they could use another fight of prep before they take on thurman or porter.

spence won't be fighting the bundus of the world in a year or so. they know what they've got. that kid might be pound for pound one day. they just want to make sure he's ready for his first "real fight" against porter, thurman, brook, etc.
You have no idea what you're talking about.

This fight has nothing to do with Spence's team wanting to develop Spence or give him rounds, or prepare him for Thurman and Porter, in fact, it has nothing to do with Spence's team whatsoever.

This fight was ordered by the IBF, Spence and his team have no choice in the matter.

Also, Thurman will never fight Spence unless forced to, he has already made it clear, acting like he's a certified HOF already even though, before the Porter fight, there was literally nothing different between his resume and Spence's.

Simple fact, Spence called out Brook, Brook tried to duck, and the IBF called for a title eliminator to determine Brook's next Mandatory, and six/seven guys ranked above Bundu in the IBF rankings blatantly ducked, forcing Spence to ultimately fight Bundu.

He also has the style that i predict to give Spence the most trouble when he is at top level, namely an outfighter with lots of lateral movement.

If Spence can track him down and KO him it would be a statement imo. Especially as Thurman couldnt do the same
That style won't trouble Spence. You gotta understand that Spence is originally an outside boxer himself, and he is actually very good at it too.

That's why the hype on him has become that much greater since he turned pro, because his trainer taught him how to fight on the inside and he excellled at it so much (esp the body punching) that people had no choice but to acknowledge that he is a virtuoso, seeing as he can fight is so many different ways.

Bundu will either get steam rolled or methodically broken down and stopped. It is inevitable.

What does he gain? How about a mandatory position for the IBF title held by Brook? That good enough for you?

Spence is staying active, IBF's title eliminator, i don't complain... It could have been against Ponomarev, who is a good prospect, but he declined admitting honestly that he isn't ready for that level still... The double standards from certain guys are hilarious though...

No it isnt enough for me lol, the belt will probably be vacant after he wins the eliminator with brook going to 160 (probably go to 154 after) So many belts around today that really, who cares if hes 'world champ'? , shows how ****ing **** that belt is aswell with brook defending agaisnt fun time gavin, jojo dan, kevin bizeir, and 42 year old bundu being in an eliminator, the belts worth **** all.
