I understand your thinking mr de la hoya, hes making you a lot of money, you know fans are ****** and naive enough to believe you when you say it will happen next year. You know fans will tune in because they believe these are all fights for canelo to warm up for against golovkin, but it isnt true is it.

I'm having a real hard time understanding the rationale of Canelo dropping back to 154 to fight Liam Smith. What is the point?

I think it's obvious what's happening here: both fighters fight a stay busy fight (one of many lol), then Canelo takes Saunders' belt in December (takes it, not necessarily wins it, this is Canelo we're talking about after all), Golovkin beats another no hopeer at the beginning of 2017, and then they both meet each other on Cinco De Mayo.

If there's one thing we've learned from MayPac it's that marinating fights for too long isn't always necessarily good. Sure they've made ****load of money but sport wise the event was unsatisfying to say at least. Canelo and Golovkin are still in their primes, this fight has to happen next year, I'd be really surprised and disappointed if it didn't.

I'm not a fan of marinating fights, but it is what it is.

Brook fight and Khan fight is/was still **** and shouldn't be/have been sanctioned.
