I can't believe we're having a 4 year build up to a "mega fight" between two fighters which can't even include one of those fighters fighting someone who lost all eight rounds to the other fighter, because even the guy who lost all 8 rounds and got knocked out would beat him. How is this supposed to be a mega fight if Canelo can't even beat David Lemieux?Comment

A lot of ppl on here seem pretty confused by this, but it seems like its pretty obvious to me what is going on here. De La Hoya knows this worthless PPV fight coming up is going to tank not only because he doesn't have a ppv worthy opponent, but everyone is pissed off at canelo for dropping his title and running from GGG after all that tough talk. In order to get back in the fans good graces, they have to make it appear legit that Canelo is really planning to go up to 160 and fight GGG next year. BJS also conveniently holds the last belt that GGG needs to become undisputed champ which GGG covets so much which would make it seem even more like Canelo is really planning to fight him with this story.
Maybe he is being honest with this weird concocted story out of left field, but somehow I think Oscar knows they messed up with the whole Mexicans don't mess around thing and now are trying to be better at the BS they spew to the public. Notice how he didn't even mention that he wants that WBO belt to make the GGG fight even bigger but just by saying he wants to fight him now they think they have tricked the fans. Although I could be wrong and I hope I am wrong I think this is most likely whats going on right now. I have a funny feeling that after this PPV Canelo will put out with an injury and say he won't be ready for December, same BS he pulled with Clottey. Canelo is not going to fight BJS at 160 in December, someone please mark that down I will bet all my points I can smell this BS from a mile away.Comment

Why? Other boxers are expected to move up without CWs - if he wants to acclimatise to the division do it by fighting lower ranked opposition first. This CW BS really needs to stop. I get that Canelo brings the $s and has the A-side shizzle going on but are you actually in favour of him getting the advantage in the ring?Comment
