But Manny fighting Vargas IS him taking advantage of the fans, IMO. He already had his retirement fight... If he's going to continue to fight, he shouldn't get off the hook for fighting a guy like Vargas when he is capable of fighting the best with a winning chance.

Im just tired of the whole Manny/Floyd Shtick. Im retired, nah Im back. Ok now Im retired, hey guys Im back. Its all a money grab and Ive grown tired of it. I agree though, if he fought a Thurman or Brook it would be compelling but I stil wouldnt buy it. I would watch some ****ty stream. Im done buying these lackluster PPVs. Its not the money to me, its the point. Back in the day there use to be good solid PPVs that I didnt mind shelling out the coin for, they are like hens teeth now. To be honest with you I can only think of a few fights that could be made right now that I would buy and that would probably be a game time decision fueled by a few beers.

Im almost certain Floyd will be back, man Im just tired of their bs.

I don't think any of the pbc guys would want to fight Manny, besides maybe Thurman but who knows if that is even true. It seems like Haymon really has his guys on a short leash. Broner turned down an 8 fight deal for 40 million. The only reason he would turn that down is because Haymon convinced him. Also Jessie Vargas would be a much better opponent than Broker. He has shown some serious power in his last couple fights now that he has Memo as his conditioning coach. Plus Vargas is coming off a big win against Ali and is WBO champion. I highly doubt Garcia would fight Pacquiao whether it be because he knows he would lose or because Haymon wouldn't let it happen. I think his only real options would be Vargas, Crawford, and possibly Thurman. Vargas would be the least best but at least hes a champion and coming off a big win. Don't see nothing wrong with it.

People need to take note of how good of a businessman Bob Arum is. He said he's guaranteeing Pacquiao much less but is giving him a higher percentage. Which means if Pacquiao wants to continue making 20 million plus he will be forced to fight the likes of Thurman or Crawford. Arum gave Manny the choice to fight Crawford, Khan, or Bradley on his last fight. As much as I love watching Pacquiao fight, he is the one who chose to fight Bradley again. He took the safe road because he was guaranteed 20 million. Now he needs to step up his competition again to make the same coinage. Bottom line is even though Vargas wouldn't be his best possible opponent, it's not like it would be a horrible fight. Vargas is probably top 7 or so welterweight, has the WBO belt, is coming off a big knockout win. Manny is getting old and might be satisfied with making 12 million or so and getting that WBO back instead of making 20 million and risking his health and legacy against Thurman or Crawford.

The difference between Manny and Floyd is that Manny was saying he was probably going to retire while Floyd said it was for sure. Arum and Manny made it a point to not promote his last fight as his retirement fight because Manny was still on the fence, while Floyd pretty much said there was no way, which we all knew was BS anyways.

Stylistically I think Pacquiao vs. Vargas would be a great fight. Vargas isn't a runner/counterpuncher. Thurman would be running from Pacquiao all night and trying to counterpunch. I could care less about name recognition, I think Pacquiao Vargas would be a very good scrap. People on here seem to care more about name recognition. As far as resume I think Vargas is on par with Thurman or Crawford.

I am a fan and always will be a fan BUT Manny just needs to retire or stay retired.

            What more does he want?

One of these young guns could conceivably do to Manny what Macho Camacho did to Ray Leonard and i will be very happy if only to convince him to hang it up.

Enough is enough Manny , hang em up.

Thanks for the memories but really what more do you want from boxing?

As long as he is out there as a bait for a payday, we will never get to see compelling fights made these young cats as they all seat on the fence waiting for that call.

Manny you are a legend. You are guaranteed a place in the HOF. You are wealthy man beyond your wildest dream.

            Retire please!!!!

Lmao! AB also refused Roc Nation's contract offer before which is more than 10M per fight saying it was cheap and he is worth more. Anyway, back to Pac's ring return which is a big hoax and only Arum and maybe some of Pac's greedy staffs (they might convince Pac same thing they did before) are talking about.

Pac is still dangerous and everyone knows it......

After out boxing Bradley I don't think a lot of people really want to fight Pac. As I've repeatedly said before Pac has become a better boxer since Marquez loss. I think this Pac is better post Marquez loss. He picks his spots and has better defense. This new Pac will have a longer career because of it.

Vargas, Crawford, Postol, and Bradley should be afraid very afraid. Pacquiao the Top Rank killer is on the loose.
