I wouldn't call it a cherry pick. The guy had one loss, which was controversial, to lamont peterson. he was a much better opponent than a shot collazo. I am not in the least surprised that he beat Vasquez.
I know the quality of Diaz, but if they took him as a last moment replacement was because the believed that it was an easy fight.
