Absolutely, its something that fighters should be aware of.

I fully understand why the Cuban fighters like Miami; beautiful city, great weather, a relatively strong Cuban population, easier to acclimate, etc...

However, guys like Gamboa and Rigo could have made a lot of money and fought in bigger fights (in front of sold out crowds) had they based themselves in the UK. Be it Eddie Hearn or Frank Warren, they would have promoted them as a deadly double act and the fans would have been on board very quickly.

Doubt they'd ever reach PPV status, sure they could headline a fight but making a non-British boxer a PPV star in Britain?
I don't think that's ever happened, I could be wrong.

I don't think PPV is necessary, that's a step too far.

These guys are world class yet struggle to get fights in the US, the crowds they fight in front of are pretty poor and the TV networks aren't big on them; I don't believe any of that happens in the UK.

To me it seems obvious that these guys should always be on the same card. Gamboa was a little wrecking ball, Rigo is a boxing master; have them on some cards with the likes of Joshua, Brook, Crolla, etc...and in no time their popularity would be far higher than it is now as would their fight options and money.
