I thought Frank Warren meant he had a spot for Rigondeaux on September 17th against a different opponent. No need to see that **** again. Rigondeaux stood right in front of him, and ****ens was scared to throw anything. Put Rigs in with a face first Latin guy.

Would love to see Rigo become a permanent fixture in the UK.

You better believe he would get big support in the UK if he begins fighting here, tremendous talent.

One thing I like about fans in the U.K., they seem to appreciate, and respect quality regardless of ethnicity, nationality, or style.

Honestly, I don't think Rigo looked so sharp. Small sample, but other than that big left, I didn't think anything of his performance. His defining moment, in my opinion, was the Donaire fight. On that night, Rigo was razor-sharp.

He was sharp defensively. People blame him, but he was the smaller man, and he stood in front of ****ens. ****ens not only didn't throw much, ****ens also retreated whenever Rigondeaux moved in. Still, Rigs caught him with the big left hand, and a couple other shots. It ****** that ****ens corner threw in the towel. But there was no need for ****ens to be given the pumpkin face like Donaire and Amagasa. His corner knew he was outclassed and gun shy. They didn't want him getting hurt.

This is true, opponents decide they just won't throw punches anymore And they'll play it safe, Floyd had the same problem, and it makes for boring fights.

At the same time, these guys need to show some aggression when an opponent sticks themselves in a shell or goes on the run.

That's why IMO so many people like kov and GGG. If their opponent isn't throwing Punches, it doesn't stop them from being aggressive,

Floyd/rigo on the other hand will just completely shut down.

Rigondeaux brought his new style of standing in front of the opponent like he said he would. The opponent was gun shy.

? dude couldnt close his jaw. watch him walk around the ring and when the ref brought them to the center to announce the winner. ****ens had his jaw wide open the whole time cuz it's broken.

as for the rematch, this article is misquoting frank warren. he was asked if there's plans to bring rigo back and frank warren said he has a date of sept. 17th tentatively booked. he never said it was a rematch. it'd be impossible to have a rematch that quickly.

Tete would be a stiff test, although he a 115/118 pounder. At 5'9, he isn't your typical tall fluky South African. He's evoled into a boxer puncher style that seems kind of Urban American. I'd watch. There are other guys to fight, just not guys with well known names yet. The Mexican Flores, is 25-0. The Guzman vs Wake winner will be out there. Guzman would **** both Frampton and Quigg up right now. McDonell is there, and so is Rey Vargas, Quigg, and that Phillipino Servania who is undefeated as well.

Amazing boxer , not sure how ppl can hate on him , ppl run from him once they saw what happened to FOTY doniare they realised its over .... no one will beat him but father time or a really big weight mismatch , he probably will never see another big name ala Doniare again ..... shame...
