That's not true. Here is Arum saying they'd agreed to the renegotiation with Hearn a week before the Brook-GGG fight was announced but Hearn had went ghost on him and hadn't heard anything from them in a week. He found out about the Brook-GGG fight like everyone else. Don't you think if Vargas had pulled out Arum would know about it?

Arum had been in deep talks to match his WBO welterweight titleholder Jessie Vargas with Brook later this year in a big welterweight unification match. Vargas had signed off on all the terms and was waiting for Brook’s side to finalize the agreement. But Arum said he hadn’t heard from Brook promoter Eddie Hearn in some time, and Hearn never alerted him he was going in a different direction, according to Arum. “We were (talking with them) but they’ve gone silent in the last week,” Arum said in a phone interview. “So that may very well be why.”

The decision by British voters on June 23 to exit the European Union — “Brexit” — complicated the deal in that Brook’s purse had to be modified, Arum said. “The only issue was we had a deal with Eddie and then we had the “Brexit” thing and then the question was — we had to adjust the purse and everything,” Arum commented. “But we were in the middle of doing that and then we didn’t hear from them.”
How did Vargas pull out when they were in the middle of renegotiating and Hearn stopped contacting Arum?

Don't believe this guy. He will say anything now that he's got the GGG fight. The only reason they took that fight is because it's a win win. If he loses its because he jumped 2 weight classes. They did not want to fight any of the top WWS for the longest time. And of course Cotto won't fight him now for his last fight coming off a loss to Canelo. I'm sure they wanted Cotto to fight in UK too.

Steve Kim and other have confirmed that Vargas pulled out to go in another direction, regardless of what Bob tells the media.

The decline in the value of the £ impacted his purse and he pulled the plug.

Steve Kim is the media But don't listen to the media? I showed you a video of Brook saying the fight would be announced in 48 hrs. I showed you quotes from Arum himself saying they were working on the negotiation and waiting on Hearn but Hearn went M.I.A. I can show you videos of Vargas saying he was ready for the fight and he didn't even know about the fight was off. But you want me to listen to Steve Kim? Mitch Abramson is 10x's the boxing reporter than Steve Kim could ever with to be. While Kim was talking about Fonfara vs. Smith being a mismatch, Abramson was talking about watching Smith in the amateurs and how it's going to be a tough fight. I'll believe Abramson over 99% of these "journalist" today.

I never said don't trust the media; I said Steve Kim is saying the opposite of what Arum is telling the media.

You are very selective in what you are taking from interviews; Hearn and Brook both stated the initial deal was no longer possible as they couldn't pay Vargas that amount. Brook himself stated they were waiting on Vargas to accept the drop in purse and it went stale.

Steve Kim is the media. You're saying don't trust what Bob is telling the media but then you said trust what Steve Kim is saying. If he isn't getting his information from Bob or Vargas, why should I trust him? And there was no talk of the fight being in danger or Vargas going a different direction. Everybody was on the same page, including Kell because in that interview he said the fight would be announced in 48 hours.

After all the failed negotiations in fighters trying to fight Brook and then fighting a bum it is hard to believe that anybody is ducking him.

Hearn really thinks that Brook is worth that much

There is an old saying..... the only things lower than a car dealer, is a child-******er and a politician..... well, you can probably add boxing promoter to that list.
