I doubt that Hearn is "selling tickets to StubHub"; he's still got a pretty stand-up reputation and risking that to scalp a few more tickets is foolish. Of the 17k seats at the O2, StubHub, as the ticketseller for Matchroom Sport, likely got 2k-3k face-value tickets to sell.

Once those get bought, by fans or ticket re-sellers, I have no doubt that folks are then turning around and selling said tickets on StubHub's p2p site.

Hearn has gone on record for previous fights how his tickets work. He splits all the tickets between FightPass, Venue, Stubhub, Competitions, General Sale etc.

He has stated that of the say 2K tickets Stubhub get to sell on, they are all 100% face value (prob with an admin charge), but more or less face value.

It becomes muddled when you have that same site selling legit tickets and joe public reselling tickets at higher prices.

It is possible that Hearn is lying but i can't see why he would, when he's trying to build a brand long term.

Yeah that's how i'd always thought it works. Stub Hub are allocated a smallish section of tickets that they sell on their website when general sale starts.

I didn't get any tickets in the sale yesterday, so went over to stub hub after the 02 sale has finished. There were no face value tickets left on stub hub that they sell themselves..just touts selling on stub hubs secondary market. Selling on the tickets they had bought elsewhere; and selling at over face value.
