That was AFTER Froch retired. When they were first in talks, Froch had NOT retired yet. That was in early 2015. This video was almost at the end of the year. Once Froch retired, he wanted 172 because he couldnt make 168 anymore. The first time around Golovkin agreed to all of Froch's demands and instead he retired.

So? Could the fight not have been made after that? It is after all apparently ok for fighters to move up more than one division.
