That was AFTER Froch retired. When they were first in talks, Froch had NOT retired yet. That was in early 2015. This video was almost at the end of the year. Once Froch retired, he wanted 172 because he couldnt make 168 anymore. The first time around Golovkin agreed to all of Froch's demands and instead he retired.

Froch is full of **** and I dont even like Loeffler. The first time they spoke, there was no mention of 172. That was waaayyyy after there were talks early last year. Froch was still champion at 168 when they first spoke. Golovkin was willing to face him at 168, in the UK, with Froch getting the lion's share of money and everything else, and then he retired.

Froch retired because he'd wrapped up his career.

So we would have liked to see him fight GGG but look at it from his perspective.

He'd fought just about everyone, was 37 and was starting to lose his motivation. He beat Groves in the rematch and made a fortune and he was already financially set before that.

Say he beats GGG so what he was an unproven middleweight.

Next up oh he needs to fight degale now and prove he's the best in the UK

Froch made the smart choice and got out when he'd had enough and after the career he had I don't see how anyone can slate him. He took one gimme fight in about a 10 fight streak where he was underdog in almost every fight

Dude your being desperate. There was no hint of him being sarcastic there. The interviewer said love your honesty and he didn't even say anything like he was joking.
