Much rather this then Broner. Broner doesn't throw enough and will easily be outworked by Manny. Danny is a better fight. But I won't believe till I see it. My guess is Manny fights a top rank fighter like Vargas, Crawford or Postol at the end of the day.

Now that is an excellent idea. And probably the most likely. Vargas vs garcia is a unifier betweent wbo and wbc champs at welterwieght and its a good icebreaker fight for haymon and arum.

Yeah we have been thrown off lately with upcoming fights so itd be a nice surprise to see Haymon and Arum work together to make Garcia vs Vargas. I think Vargas would get the same amount of money he was expecting against Brook and have a chance of it being in Las Vegas.

Why would you even assume Garcia wants this fight? Mayweather, Paqcuiao, both were offered in the past to Garcia father and son, and they just said, "bleh, we don't need it."

It is pretty much the perfect fight for Manny, Garcia is credible and a pretty big name that brings his own fans to the table. It works for Garcia because it is a big payday and while I think he stands little chance against Manny he has beaten the odds before and already had a pretty successful career so while it is risky it is not an opportunity that he should pass on at this point.

I personally like the Thurman fight better because that to me that is the fight to crown the top 147 pounder, but that is more tricky fight for Manny and while it would do good I don't know that it does much better than a Garcia fight.

The downside is if he fights Garcia is I can almost guarantee what Manny's fight after Garcia is (as long as he wins) because to me that is the only way this deal would work for both side.

Yeah it makes you wonder if they would, especially when you have Angel Garcia saying stuff like :

“What I am trying to say is this; they are both elite fighters (Thurman vs. Porter) why would you fight each other when you can fight a fighter like Rod Salka”?
