If he can make the weight, nothing wrong. Never had a problem with Paul Williams making weight either.

Yep. This is pretty common knowledge. It's one of the reasons his "weight jumping" was greatly exaggerated.

Those 2nd weigh ins are unofficial and often the fighters are wearing clothes and shoes and the like.

            Why?

Was he shooting up IV bags to rehydrate?

He probably was, it was perfectly legal to do so.

Yet Floyd Mayweather has never rehydrated by anywhere near that much even at those lower weight class, he would normally rehydrate by 6lbs and at welterweight he been only rehydrating by 2-4 lbs, hell sometimes he didn't rehydrate at all and stayed the same weight or even came in lower.

                basementgymboxing.blogspot.in/2014/08/floyd-mayweather-juniors-weight-with.html

As you can see in the above link, he weighed in at 146 in his title fight against Judah and stayed the same weight on fight night.

In the above link again it shows that Floyd did not rehydrate when he faced Canelo, and actually lost half a pound between the one day weigh in and the fight night weigh in.

And last but not least, here is a link above showing you his tale of the tape against Ortiz, once again it shows that Mayweather does not rehydrate more than 3 lbs above the welterweight limit.

146lbs against Judah (see first link)
                149lbs against Baldomir (same link)
                150lbs against Ortiz
                150lbs against Canelo (link above)
                148lbs against Maidana (showtime scales)
149lbs against Pacquiao (NSAC medical document)

You can look in the first link I provided and you will see that even before he was a welterweight, Floyd was rehydrating by a max of 6lbs or less in all of his fights.

He never did anywhere near the 14-15lbs that Pac was doing in his lower weight class bouts.

Just because it's common for fighters to cut and rehydrate, doesn't mean every fighter does it to the same extent. Some guys just don't feel their bodies perform well after too much of a weight cut. I don't know what this thread has to do with mayweather anyway.
