    Not really...it's common for fighters to rehydrate 10+ lbs. When it starts getting up over the 15lb mark, it's time to consider moving up.

          Whatever the fighter is comfortable with...there's lots of guys who cut more than that. He also moved up right after that marquez fight, so maybe it was becoming a struggle. Who knows. I just believe when you start getting up to 15-20 lbs of weight cutting, it's more of a detriment than an advantage.

            If that's true...even a few lbs of clothes makes a big difference. 2-3 lbs of rehydration is significant.

                It would be closer to the true size, unless a guy doesn't cut a lot to make weight. It's common practice to cut as much as you can while still feeling comfortable...everyone reacts different. Some guys just don't recover fast enough after a weight cut to feel comfortable by fight time. That's most likely what floyd was using the IV for...not because he had to take off an extreme amount of weight, but to replenish quicker to be comfortable for the fight.
