LENNOX Lewis has warned Anthony Joshua to forget about fighting Tyson Fury anytime soon. Lewis talking on Alan Brazil's Breakfast Show on talkSPORT praised 6ft 9ins Fury's speed and technique. The former boxer the last undisputed world heavyweight champion said: "He [Fury] moves like Muhammad Ali. He floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee, that's what boxing is all about."

I generally respect Lennox's boxing knowledge but based on this statement, he should be banned from any all boxing discussions and never allowed to enter the United States again.

The cheques in the post to Lennox from fury as we speak. But fury will love Lennox now, I'm sure fury has bad mouthed Lennox in the past, so that's nice of Lennox he seems to be fan!

But josh and fury must fight sand josh won't necessarily be at his peak when it happens. Neither will fury be. Fury is WIP just like joish.

I would tend to agree , moving LIKE someone doesn't have to be moving EXACTLY the same . Fury is a bigger version Ali where enough simularities make them comparable which means having 2 or more common things that can be compared .

I still dont see why Lewis thinks that wouldn't go well for Joshuas style who can pressure you and fight on the inside which was also Alis weakness against Frazier like fighters , the differance here is Fury does not move as much as Ali and Joshua hits like a freight train. Joshuas jab is also every bit as effect if not more when he uses it so cutting distance down will not be as much problem as many think add to that abilities to throw counter power right hands .

I still sense Lewis a bit jealous of Joshuas boxing abilities surpassing his one day and soon ,Lennox never actually recieved the attention Joshuas getting and i know Lewis at least prides himself as the best HW ever out of Britain . Until Joshua cleans out division will you see Lewis switch gears and give him some accolades as the guy to beat and thats only bc he will have no choice .
