This was Hearn's mistake. He didn't foresee issues with Brook and Eubank would come up at exactly the same time. Hearn found a way to fix it. He's lucky Brook accepted. Problem solved.
Who said Vargas is the weakest link? You?? Brook barely and I repeat BARELY beat Porter. Porter drew with an old 10 year past his prime lightweight in Julio Diaz but yeah that makes Brook the best. Vargas is even money vs Garcia, beats porter, and the only person I see giving him trouble is Thurman.

Say whatever you want about Vargas he was willing to come to the UK and put his title on the line

        Brook just didnt fancy it

Had Brook lost to Vargas, his stock would fall and he wouldnt have made a lot of money

Losing to GGG, his stock doesn't fall and he gets paid

There is nothing Brook can lose by fighting GGG, whereas with Vargas there was a risk, a small risk, but a risk

Yes, Jesse, we know...everyone avoids you and your massive punch, the one you landed on Bradley after he schooled you for 11 previous rounds. Now Brook has opted to fight a 160 lb guy vs....well you, a nobody because he really feels he would lose to you. What a tool.

Still nonsense. Regardless of Brook's background, Vargas only came out of the woodwork when he beat Ali. Who is Sadam? And we saw a very close fight in the Porter/Thurman. Meaning, Porter wasn't a bad win at all for Brook.

If you're saying Brook avoided Vargas to fight Golovkin... I don't even know how to complete the sentence. It's just so ******. There's a certain price where a fighter eventually agree to take on a dangerous fight. How much Brook is getting for a GGG fight? $3 million? Is that really enough to take such a risk for a small guy?

You sure? I mean, from this it looks like Brook beat his azz, was the better boxer, better skill. Porter is an ugly fighter. https://********/bWqESHUJPmI

As for Thurman vs Porter, it was a close fight but I had it as a much clearer win for Thurman, I actually had Thurman up by 2 rds and Thurman hurt Porter a few times.

Anyway, I agree that Brook made the right financial decision to fight GGG, hell if I were in Brooks shoes, I wouldve done the same thing. My only problem is, is people writing Vargas off as a threat, any top ten guy is a threat to Brook, because again his best win is Shawn Porter who isn't a World beater. No one at WW is really proven so to say one is better then the other is BS. And besides that only Garcia would bring him the payday GGG would and that wasnt happening so Brook went after the High Risk High Reward over the High Risk Lower Reward. Also I think Brook would have trouble making 147 this time around.

Watch the whole fight not highlights. I think Diaz put on a better showing against Porter than Brook did, Brook was hugging Porter like he missed him. Needless to say Porter isnt all that man and thats Brooks best win? Needless to say, if Brook beat Vargas, thatd definitely be Brooks best win, going against GGG and making it to the 6th rd will be Brooks best win, so its a win/win for Brook.

I have watched the whole fight, I'm saying I don't believe it was close at all. I believe brook completely outboxed and outclassed Porter. I don't care if he clinched him a lot, up close Porter just wings punches, Brook negated that by clinching, it was imo an effective game plan, and I look for him to do the same to GayLoveKin.
