These dudes ain't trying to do **** in this sport, just cash easy checks. None of them want to be remembered and none of them will be.
It's not just Haymon fighters, it's the whole sport today. One loss today sets a fighter back years financially. Doesn't matter that the upper echelon fighters can still make a decent living, guys are more about their pockets than their legacies.
That said, Wilder is easily amongst the best heavyweights today. Doesn't say much for the division, but at least he's entertaining. Love him or hate him, people are starting to watch this guy.

This is bs, Maidana is then perfect example of this. He fought everyone he was asked to fight, if the money was fair he signed the contract no questions asked.
He won some, he lost some. But he kept getting opportunities to the point he was able to land 2 fights with Floyd.
If you give fans a good show, and stay active, you'll get big fights.
These guys just don't want to fight tough fights, thats all there is to it. There is no desire to leave a legacy anymore.
You can't even find a decent Fighter of The Year candidate anymore.

Out of all the top up and coming fighters, prospects and contenders, how many fight everyone regardless of whether they win or lose and continue to get title shots or the big payday? I know of some, but most shamelessly protect that 0 because if it disappears than their chance at the big payoff may to. A loss shouldn't be so important, but for promotional reasons nowadays it is. And for fans who just follow certain fighters and not the sport and it's history, good God it's the most important thing in the world. Most followers of this sport have been brainwashed into thinking that 0 is more important than tough fights and experience! So yes, I agree with you. These guys don't want to fight the tough fights, they would 4at her protect the opportunity to cash in than to actually work for it.
so true, think thats part of a reason why the fighters are so inactive now, no reason fighters cant fight 4 times a years at least unless they are all hard wars. Usually get most fighters fighting 1 soft touch then 1 hard fight a year, is a joke. Seems as if there always has to 'warm up' fights now, just fight the top fighters in the first place ffs, if you lose so what.
