        I just rewatched the fight.

Chilemba went 12, but he had to do a lot of surviving to do it. Easily could of ended earlier, barely made it out of the last rnd.

One thing I did notice is kov was a bit off balance at times, which we haven't seen from him. Chilemba did a decent job of forcing that.

But even than kov adjusted pretty well. As normal, boxin fans making far to big a deal out of a fighter not being as dominating as they expect him to be.

Consistent dominance in boxing is rare guys...

People act lioe the fight was close or something, y'all are crazy.

BUT GGG ONLY goes up 4 lbs for Ward??? And GGG fans be like....WHAT!!!! Ward a LHW!

          Opps!!!! That's 15lbs, 2 weight classes...My BAD!

Difference is WARD won't KTFO of GGG

          GGG will KTFO of Brook.

          Who's the REAL COGGGWARD
They're a real angry bunch. An action fighter tends to draw a more casual crowd and those people want their guys to have these superhero images. They get frustrated when they can't defend him so they parrot your argument and reverse it because that's the only way they can debate, by copying you and flipping it.

Apologies to Kov and GGG fans who are real boxing fans, and don't pull that shyt. I've shown respect to those who aren't afraid to criticize their favorite fighters. There's plenty of them. Unfortunately, there's also many who will NEVER say a single word questioning their faves and they attack those who do. I'll never understand that.

Noticed that too. I don't think it will be an issue in the Ward fight as Andre doesn't move like that. He's got a real economy of motion (especially lately) and makes small movements to slip punches. I don't see Kovalev having to hunt Ward or getting off-balance while striking at him. I do see him missing/glancing Ward a lot though.

Kovalev clearly retained his IBF/WBO/WBA light heavyweight titles, but also had some struggles along the way in his twelve round unanimous decision win over top rated contender Isaac Chilemba.

That is exactly what I said yesterday.

You revisionists need to remember one thing...... no matter how much you guys attempt to de-fang Kovalev NOW, Ward made a decision to go after Kovalev back when he was viewed as this two-handed killer.

The result of that fight changed NOTHING for Ward, nor for me.

A LOT of people have said that.

Nearly every member of a particular fanbase, who shall remain nameless.

                ***** COUGH ***** golovtards ***** COUGH *****

I saw about 5 posts YESTERDAY, after the Chilemba fight..... that stated no way could Ward avoid being KO'd by Kovalev.

                That was YESTERDAY.

Yeah I don't know what to expect from ward.

Lately he's really loved that right to the body with left hook or jab upstairs. It's beautiful.

I wouldnt be surprised to see ward try to grind inside like he has in the past against euro style fighters. I think kov is too dangerous to fight him at punching distance.

I also think kov wasntnworried about chilemba who was in survival mode, so he took more chances, which made him lose balance.

Ward will not be in survival mode. He's not the type.

when Ward called you a dopey clown who doesn't know **** about boxing..... he wasn't just referring to you, he was referring to the other idiots as well.

Absolutely. I drill that one over and over and just when I think I've really got it, I watch the way he wrecked Dawson with and move and realize just how much grace and balance the man has. To change levels while delivering power, maintaining balance, and avoiding getting hit. Really something else.

I agree with you that he might grind this one out. It's odd because I've seen Kov have answers for in-fighting, for the body jab, for movement but that all got flipped on it's head yesterday because he wasn't responding with solutions he's shown in the past. I don't read too much into it though because, like I say, he's handled those problems before.
