His fans claim he was willing to fight Ward despite Loeffler straight saying he wouldn't! He wouldn't agree to fighting Froch at 168 despite begging for that fight for years. Lara is the most accomplished SWW or MW out there right now. Canelo was willing to fight, just not at 160. Which one would think wouldn't be a problem since G has said for years how he will fight anyone from 154-168. And then he refuses to fight the biggest money fight possible. Literally. Yet he makes deals with Wade and Brook in a single day! Golovkin was a rising star casual fans wanted to see. Not anymore though. They have seen him beat enough tomato cans. Everyone saw Butterbean do the same thing. Now he is facing someone two divisions lower and isn't even the most proven fighter at WW! If you are a p4p fighter there is no way you should be fighting someone two divisions lower who isn't even the best in that division. Yet his fans will justify anything he does. Real fans of boxing want to see the best fight the best. And that is one thing Golovkin has literally never done. Everytime it is everyone else's fault. Never mind Jacobs and a plethora of fighters at 154. Also some great match-ups at 168. And yet we are stuck with him fighting the likes of Rubio and Wade. He has held a belt for five years and still hasn't fought an elite fighter. There is no excuse for that. None.
Another hater, with holes in their analysis. I know you don't want to like GGG, or belittle his career or opponents. But you don't get given the WBA, WBC, IBF & IBO titles. The fact of the matter is the 'elite' in your eyes don't want to take an L, while true warriors in Geale, Lemieux, Rubio etc have taken the challenge. Wade was an IBF MANDATORY defense. You knew that, the forum users knew it. Stop with that smack talk. Brook took the millions of dollars and took the challenge, props to Brook for having balls and being nuts. Saunders, Canelo, shame shame shame. cowards. Eubank, when Daddy stops wiping his bum we might see him fight the likes of GGG.

Ah we see the same mistake being made here, people trying to talk down Golovkin's opponents. Former world champions and current champions in Daniel Geale, Lemieux and Rubio were made to look ordinary, such is the skill of GGG. Martin Murray? The only man to stop him was GGG. Wade was undefeated but made to look amateur. Against other opponents his foes are elite. Against GGG they are bums lol. I laugh at the term 'bum' used by keyboard warriors. GGG can beat them all but only a welterweight in Brook was willing to take the challenge. Shame on Canelo, Eubank and Saunders.

Both GGG and brook are hype jobs at the end of the day.

Thurman has a better resume than Brook

Its not just one win, he has multiple wins over decent comp level Guerrero, Chaves, Collazo, Karass, Diaz, Bundu.

    All Brook has is Porter....

Thurman has faced a variety of styles, gone through hell and put in the ground work.

Brook has avoided a number of fighters, and 99.9% of his resume consists of bums.

Brook is not elite..one win doesn't make you elite, Brook never proved himself at 147....we still don't know how he would have coped with the many different styles.

Thurman actually went through the gauntlet

It was a huge win for Brook also. After that fight people rated Brook in the welterweight division. It was also Thruman's best win in the welterweight division. Nobody called either fighter elite after those fights in the welterweight division. The Thruman-Porter fight was talked about so much because it was the best fight in the welterweight division this year.

    In history! Right.

I think odds are 7-1 here. What are powerball's odds.

Accomplished how, getting a title. Lemiuex held MW version of Brook's strap I think. Brook is a big WW who can fight though.
Accomplished in that hes been a champion for a while and hes beaten a highly rated world level type fighter in Porter. Lemieux has never done that.
