Ridiculous and laughable statement from Sulaiman. "No choice"?????? First of all, Sulaiman and the WBC could have named a WBC mandatory challenger....just like they when they blessed Golovkin with that position. Secondly, does Sulaiman really expect people to believe that 147 lb champion Kell Brook was the last possible opponent for Golovkin just because the Eubank Jr fight wasn't working out? I guess Team Golovkin must have reached out to every available and ranked Jr Middleweight, Middleweight and Super Middleweight before settling on career welterweight Kell Brook.
Let's be honest, the Middleweight division is extremely weak so Golovkin is the one eyed man in the land of the blind. Not one 160 pound boxer in the WBC, WBA, IBF and/or WBO is even considered P4P worthy except Golovkin...that speaks volumes.
What's even worse is that Golovkin said he was ready for "anyone between 154 and 168", but here he is fighting a 147 lb champion. Pathetic.Comment

You have to actually offer someone something before they can decline it. Team Golokin jumped to a welterweight because a middleweight opponent fell through. Stop the madness. Team Golovkin talks a good game but the truth is that they constantly walk the path of least resistance.Comment

Did Lara turn down an offer to fight GGG? How about WBO #1 MW contender Avtandil Khurtsidze? Did he turn down an offer too? Besides Eubank Jr., these are at least 2 other gentlemen who called for a fight with GGG. He chose IBF WW Champion Kell Brook.Comment

Let's hope DeGale and Jack are still @ 168 when GGG gets there. There's a lot of money to be made @ 175, and both have said they want in!Comment

Just when (as of lately) did Lara sent his uncle Al to negotiate a fight with GGG and was refused?Comment
