Lara should move to 160 for Jacobs.

So what's the excuse now? That was during Herschman's reign when he banned Haymon fighters from the network. There have been several Haymon fighters on HBO this year.

      WBC #1 = Heiland
      WBA #1 = Blanco
      IBF #1 = Johnson
      WBO #1 = Khurtsidze

Who on that list would realistically face Lara next? Definitely not Johnson as he's with GBP (i think), and supposedly Khurtsidze is going to be in an eliminator soon. Maybe Blanco? He isn't well known, so he'd probably be an easy fight to make on some Spike/Fox card. Blanco is built like Andrade.
That's a good list. Why didn't GGG fight one of those fighters? Andy Lee said he's coming back in September.

We know Andrade and the Charlos don't want to fight him, and his other options are going to be limited. A middleweight fight against someone relevant would go a long way in pressuring Golovkin into a fight.

Unfortunately Haymon probably thinks Jacobs/Lara is some superfight that needs 3 years to build.

What's the WBA's protocol for a titlist moving up to the next division? Do they automatically get a high ranking, do they have to drop their current belt to do so?

          EDIT:

I'm not sure if there's something else that contradicts that statement, but knowing these sanctioning bodies, there probably is.
Okay Blanco is an even worst position now that I think about it. He has to wait around for for the Super WBA champs and and the Regular WBA champ to unify before he gets a mandatory shot. And in addition to that wait, Super champs are given 18 months instead of 12 to make mandatory defense. It's gonna be two years before he gets a title shot.

How do we know that? Have they been contacted? Have they been offered a fight?

The topical answer: UK PPV money against a fighter he'll almost certainly add to his KO highlight reel. But that isn't any secret.

              On deeper look:
Khurtsidze (WBO) is Saunders' responsibility and is supposedly waiting for an eliminator; Johnson is coming back from injury soon (could turn out to be Saunders' opponent on Canelo/Smith under-card), and that leaves Heiland and Blanco. These two get so little coverage that it's hard to know wtf is up with their careers. From what I've gathered on NSB, he's having promotional issues, and I have literally never heard Blanco's name come from a promoter's mouth. He seems like a stay-busy from hell, the kind of opponent who could upset the apple cart which is probably why we never hear about him. If Eubank isn't in December, maybe we get GGG/Blanco? There's so little film on Blanco that I'm not sure if K2 will risk it, but it's much easier to sell Blanco as a threat than most of these other MWs because of his frame. I'm against a Heiland match-up, dude is so ordinary. That's the kind of opponent that GGG could've fought if he was still an under-card fighter, but not now. I would rather see Lee/Heiland tbh, both guys really need some buzz. Put that on a PBC undercard in NY with Jacobs/Mora, and Garcia headlines. IDK, i'm just putting **** together lol

Nobody cares to see that fight. I'd rather see it than Brook, but that's not saying much. But Brook brought a big money, big exposure offer, and Lara brings outsized purse demands

Andrade flat out said he won't fight Lara unless he has no choice. "Last resort" I believe his words were. And Lara shares a trainer with one of the Charlos. I suppose the other is possible, but I highly doubt it.
