  • Best part about this thread is that Floyd fanboys were actually on the exact other side of this coin when Floyd fought Marquez lol...

Marquez moving up two divisions and Floyd didn't even make the contracted weight - which is worse because GGG will make 160 guaranteed -

It's amazing how there is a such a double standard - The same exact posters were telling us how weight doesn't matter and skills pay the bills - and now the weight advantage is unfair...

If you have a problem with weight please disavow Floyd's win against Marquez before you talk about unfair weight advantages please...thanks... otherwise your comment will be deemed hypocritical to your logical reasoning and null and void..

If he lost every round by default running against Canelo what do you think he's going to do against GGG? Run more and be less offensive if possible... Lara might not even throw a single punch in a round against GGG...

Every fighter that made lara actually fight got hands put on them. Angulo and williams come to mind.

lara won't be running in that fight. Because gennady won't let him.

and now yall say he almost lost to this fighter, or that fighter.

but all the bums I named always get they ass kicked and gennady still fought them. So I don't get the excuses.

        don't be a hypocrite bro.

my point is mayweather vs marquez can't be a cherry pick and then praise Tarver vs hopkins in the same breath.

        Same thing.

Did hopkins cherry pick winky wright and Kelly pavlik?

You see its only cherry picking when Floyd does it right?
I said none of it is cherry-picking - but the difference is Floyd didn't make the weight it was unfair and a disgrace...

If you fight a great fighter and he accepts the weight limit that's all that matters to me... you and your Floyd fan boys are the hypocrites - not me...

I said weight is an excuse just like when Floyd said Pac v. Cotto didn't count because Cotto had to come in at 145 but then Floyd fought Canelo at 152 So I guess that didn't count either?

There are two standards for fan boys - the real standard and the standard for my favorite fighter..

If you had a problem with floyd vs marquez. You should also have a problem with hopkins vs tarver. Hopkins vs wright. Hopkins vs pavlik. Canelo vs khan and golovkin vs brook. It's all the same thing

          Somebody jumping 2 weight classes.

I'm a real fan. What's good for the goose, is also good for the gander

Lara brings no money to the table and has a boring style - HBO fans won't watch the fight as much as those other fights... simple as that... if HBO thought Lara was a good fight they would push the fight...

Bro, are you being blind on purpose here? I said my only problem with Floyd v. Marquez was that Floyd failed to make the contracted weight - that is a disgrace and unprofessional...

I have no problem with any fight based on weight ever. catch weight or moving up.. - you and your Floyd fan boys tried to make excuses about weight limits but when Floyd used catch weights and asked fighters to move up you kept your fan boy mouths' shut

                They're not the same.
Pac and Floyd were the top two welterweights in boxing at the time.
The last boxer to arguably beat Pac last was Marquez.
Floyd wanted to prove that he could beat Marquez better than Pac.
Floyd and JMM both have fought at 130, 135, 140 and 147 in their careers.

GGG on the other hand is cherrypicking Brook, and has never fought at 147.

Floyd didn't say that he beats everyone from 135 - 160.
Floyd didn't say that he wants to collect all the belts at 147 the first sign a threat showed up.
Floyd wasn't knocking out fighters easily in his division, whereas, Golovkin has been on a streak. What makes you think a fighter moving up two weight divisions has a chance in hell?

Probably one of the most silly and arbitrary arguments ever made in boxing history: So because Floyd fought at 135 seven years earlier and Floyd fought at 154 and Marquez never has, it's a legit fight OK got it Did Pac also come in two pounds above the contracted weight against Marquez - on a side note?

So if Pac fights Chocolatito that's a legit win because Pac fought at 106 before... got you...

Brook is undefeated lb for lb and beat Porter in more impressive and clear fashion than Thurman...

Sorry buddy, nice try but you can't try to adjust logic to fit your Floyd fan boy double standards...
