Golovkin should go up to 175

Golovkin should either fight the Kovalev/Ward winner or Adonis Stevenson, by his puzzy move, Golovkin is a fighter who started at Middleweight, Canelo's pro career started offically at 140 and everyone talked crap for bringing Khan up 8 pounds and people are trying to defend Golovkin while Brook is coming up 13 pounds and everyone is going to say well Marquez started at 126 and Gurrero started at 130 and they fought Mayweather at 147, well Mayweather started at 130 you dumb asses

Golovkin's a pretty small middleweight. He just got the WBC and looks to annex the rest by next year. The guy wants to be undisputed middleweight champion. Why can't people just let him do that? Kovalev and Ward and Stevenson need to fight each other and unify there, too. Good for boxing all around.

How is he a "pretty small Middleweight" when weights 172 on fight night?

They claim he's a "small middleweight", except if you ask these same guys, Canelo (who is shorter) is really a big middleweight.

Golovkin's weight is not small for a MW and his stance makes him seem shorter, just like Shawn Porter's stance does for him. They're around the same as most of their opponents. Nothing small about Golovkin, he just doesn't fight tall. Don't be fooled.

Yeah, I guess him fighting short did throw me off there. I don't know. It looked like a lot of opponents towered over him. I remember Chavez Sr. fought like that but he seemed bigger in his division to me. I guess it's all about perception.

Well, this post said for him to go to light heavyweight. That's two weight classes, and isn't Kell Brook the idiot for doing this? I mean, I don't think so but many on here do. I don't see why it's so terrible for a guy to stay in one weight class.

Good point. As another poster pointed out to me, he fights small or low and never high. To me, it looked like a lot of guys towered above him, but it was his stance. Point taken. Still, I don't see why he has to move up when he can stay at middleweight and unify there. It would be crazy to see him in there with Kovalev and Ward and Stevenson, though. I think Kovalev pretty much said earlier that they'd never fight since Golovkin was much smaller, but I don't know.

Yea, I admit thinking the same thing a while back until I looked at his stats and realized it's just that posture he uses, that 'hunter's stance' as I call it.

I do think 175 would be a mistake but he could clean up at 168, which is why this Brook fight bothers me.
