They both have the will to win, which is huge in the division these days, but neither of them has the total package. Then again, do ANY of the heavyweights? I see Peter knocking out someone for a meaningless belt. Brock? Not so much

His chin is made of Iron, He's one of the hardest punchers I've ever seen if not the hardest, and his will is inpenetrable.

That's all you need to be a great heavyweight champion. If he could learn to cut the ring off a tad bit better, he'd be virtually unbeatable.

I don't think people realize how good his chin is. In fact.....you need to understand that he went the full 12 rounds with an absolute monster with accuracy in Wladimir Klitschko. He absorbed a tremendous amount of punishment, that hardly any heavyweights could withstand. None actually....except Peter.
lets not go overboard. he has a good chin but wlad was boxing cautiously and not putting full power into his right hands. he was too worried of getting countered and as manny steward said,,wlad let him off the hook many times when peter would miss a punch and get off balance

I like Brock more than Peter.

Didn't like him the first time I heard of him and saw him...thought "the boxing banker" was the gayest nick ever. His last handful of fights have impressed me more though...not so much because of his opposition or anything, just from the skills and intangibles he's shown.

He's solid all around, and shows up ready to fight. He's picked himself up off the canvas to win, which is an admirable thing. I like how he uses both of his hands and takes his time to beat his opponents. He's an intelligent heavyweight fighter.

        I think Brock/Peter would look like Brock/McCline.

I disagree, but i think peter has a chance against any top HW and Brock may not.
Peter always will have that puncher's chance against literally anyone, where if calvin is outmatched skill wise, he will lose.

                My sentiments pretty much.

Both can be champs tho,Brock on Skill,Peter on Power.

Although..Am i the only one annoyed at Peters clubbing Rabbit punches? How long can he get away with that? Or do you guys think its not really a big deal?

hmmm after seeing Sergei take those bombs from Brewster I'd say there neck in neck in that department

Calvin Brock is a nobody and ppl do not talk about this pussbag. WTF is the thread starting talkin about? Peter kills him. But peter will probably never hold a belt. To limited in the boxing department. Maybe he can be like a Brewster and eventually get the WBO but he definetly wouldnt beat Laykovich...to skilled for him and he can take punches as well

Both have a good shot; but I always go with the boxer. So, if I had to pick one...Brock.

i'd favor calvin brock over peter for his boxing skills. remember, this is boxing and not a toughman competition.

calvin brock has been, very gradually, stepping up his competition. he's taking it slow, but methodically. that's usually a good idea as he has taken the time to refine his boxing skills so he does not get completely outclassed when he fights an "A" caliber opponent. he has an alright resume for a young heavyweight, and it will be interesting to see where he is at 2 or 3 years from now.

now, peter on the other hand, stepped way up in comp to fight klitschko, and ever since then seems to be content fighting guys who will pad his record but make it look even worse. he also has the crudest, most undeveloped boxing skills of any player in the top ten. and, what drives me nuts, is that he continues to throw seemingly blatant, power rabbit punches and i have yet to see him warned for it. peter's assets, or asset, is his powerfull punches. wk didn't try to chin check him, as there was no need to, but still wobbled peter. so peter's chin is still a question, as is his heart untill he faces a constant pressure of some sort and comes away successfull from it.

that's my view - brock is more "trained" and would seem to be a better all around fighter. i hope peter doesn't get a free pass at a title or a mandatory spot without having to actually fight a top 5/top 10 opponent.
