Not a shock is it, easy money and recognition eubank gets for knocking out these domestic level fighters, cant see him stepping up to world level for a long time. Worst thing is the fans over here gobble it up and think hes the real deal.

BS. Eubank Sr already has a reputation for being impossible to negotiate with as some other promoters have mentioned. Hearns threw them under the bus because they are that delusional and has to be brought back to earth. I doubt Hearns cares if the Eubanks fire him. Nobody wants to deal with Eubank Sr, the guy is delusional.

As crappy as Brook is as an opponent at 160, I can see how all of this came about. Hearn works his ass off to get a solid deal in place for Eubank Jr, then his pops comes in and makes all sorts of additional demands thinking that since a deal is already structured, all other parties would just cave in to get it finalized. Hearn is like "No way in hell this is going to fly, but I can offer it to Brook as a last resort. Career high payday, homefield advantage which should make it worth it for him to move up for the challenge".

GGG takes it so he can get back in the ring and hopefully have time for one last bout in December to round out the year.

Still don't like it but it does appear that the Eubanks left everyone involved no other choice. That's like those tools that come on to Shark Tank and get offered a solid deal only to try to bully the sharks for a better deal and they tell the tools to go take a hike. In the words of "Mr. Wonderful"........."You're dead to me!"

It seems as the Eubanks got above their board and Matchroom ran out of patients.
Eubnak Snr needs to chill a little. I wonder how negotiations will go for his future fights as the aren't going to just walk into every fight meeting and make such demands. And he is on the cusp of these big fights now.

I was actually looking forward to this fight. Sucks it could not be made.
I will say Brook / GGG is just as bad as Canelo/ Khan. I don't think there is one poster on NSB that actually expects Brook to win. I know I don't.

I knew there was something more to the story. I kinda jumped to conclusions when the GGG/Brook fight was officially announced. Well, I guess the Hearn interview doesn't change the fact that it's a money grab...by both sides. And I guess it doesn't change the fact that it's a mismatch. But at least we know what happened in the GGG/Eubank negotiations. Is there such thing as being too greedy? I guess so.

Seems convenient to blame the Eubanks. There was a reason why Brook would not sign the contract with Vargas.

Does not compare to Khan-Canelo....Khan has a weak chin and had been ko'd twice before. Khan power is also below average even at his own weight. Brook has a solid chin, good power, and is undefeated.

I wish this fight could've been at 158 or 157, but I like this fight. It's even with the Eubank fight in my book
