Like MMA or Not Boxing cold learn a thing or two from them.

The way that UFC continuously finds ways to salvage injured fighters/failed tests is impressive. Jones fails a test? No biggie. They'll just put the greatest p4p fighter ever in his place on 2 days notice. It's stuff like that that separates MMA from boxing. Fury rolls his ankle and we have to wait 3 months for the fight to happen. Povetkin tests positive and Wilder fights a guy who's not even in the top 15.

When boxing is at its best there's nothing better. Thurman/Porter is as good as it gets. That being said imagine if it was run similar to the UFC?

Easy to do when you have nearly everyone under one promotion and they are scared to tell you 'no'for fear of being publicly shamed by the promoter or other repercussions.

It is easir said than done. Though even for a promotion like PBC, who can mimic UFC, they don't necessarily try to copy the model.

One fighter fails a drug test just replace him with another fighter that recently also just failed a drug test.

I agree,, PBC had a chance to mimic an mma promotion, but instead gave us more of the same with boxing, sanctioning bodies, mosmatches, etc.. That's why boxing is basically dead in America

It's dead? Or, last year it did a PPV record that the ufc has never even come close to doing. Ufc hasn't even done close to half of that. Just last year.
              Boxing dead doe....

And don't bring up Manny and May, people said the exact same shyt when DLH retired.

I understand people say this because it is not on the level of the three major sports in the USA but there is literally no numbers that support this statement. Revenue for boxing in 2015 was an all time record for TV networks and promoters.

Your talking about last year,,, what has boxing done since...

Biggest star in the sport can't break a million buys in his biggest fight (canelo-cotto)

The 2nd biggest star ggg can't even break 200k..

Hbo and showtime are rapidly reducing budgets for boxing..

Boxing has to pay to be on network tv,, every major mma promotion GETS PAID to be on network tv

Since floyd-manny, ufc's Conor has headlined 3 different million selling PPVs, 2 of which were with last minute opponents, nobody in boxing can even come close to that and Conor is basically doubling up canelo in terms of PPv buys..

Never before in the history of boxing has it been in worse shape

But keep thinking it's healthy and alive... It's the sheep that keep boxing alive..

Lmao... Most of the success of boxing was made off of one fight- floyd-manny, and it ruined the reputation of boxing to the casuals..

What are these record ratings???? If boxing was truly a ratings draw, it would get paid to be on tv, like every other sport.. Not just the big three
