difference is GGG fanatics criticize other fighters all the time, who they fight, their resume's, etc. but dont look at GGG's career through the same scope.
People expect a fighter being billed as feared, most dangerous man in boxing, p4p # 3 to at least have a resume to match the billing or take a feew risks
dude is 34...its legacy building time or bust
He doesnt have another 10 plus years like Canelo to build a hall of fame career
Im a fan of him, it just upsets me that his fanatics were so critical of fighters today and in the past.
Remember posters on ESB and NSB trashing who roy jones fought for years, HBO even did during broadcasts.....at that point roy won titles at 160,168, and 175 beat over a dozen world champions, was clearly the best fighter in the world and proved it, yet HBO was not pumping him up like a guy who hasnt accomplished .25 of what he did.
The man even made a friggin song about it, "yALL MUSTVE FORGOT"
had to be frustrating being the best fighter in the world and not getting credit......Pernell whitaker didnt get the credit he deserved until he retired....nor did floyd
many of the people who criticized these guys harshly are making excuses for GGG. Reporters, fans, HBO, ring magazine.
You have to be consistent and if you're not with your expectations for fighters then you come off as an irrational fan boy
