Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua vs. Bermane Stiverne Eyed By Hearn For November

Hearn wants Joshua to make a voluntary defence against former WBC champion Bermane Stiverne (25-2-1, 21KOs), who still stands as the only fighter to go the full distance with current WBC king Deontay Wilder (36-0, 35KOs).

This would be the first good opponent Joshua has ever faced.

I'm glad for Stiverne. Hope he'll be ready this time. No more dehydratation story! Let's go Bermane!

Very good fight. If Stiverne shows up motivated and in shape (and without excuses), he should be able to give Joshua the test that Kevin Johnson couldn't.

Stiverne looked pretty shot in his last fight vs Rossy, even hit the deck. Maybe he wasn't motivated? But Joshua is still in the developmental stage so it's probably a good fight for him.

Good fight for Joshua. Still haven't seen the Rossy fight or the footage of him getting dropped. That was a surprise. Stiverne is 37 so who knows what he had left. Good fight...

Would be great if this fight gets made.. Depending on the outcome(the fashion in which AJ wins) fans will get an idea on how Wilder vs Joshua will fare..

Not a bad fight if Stiverne is in shape.

I think Stiverne has slid a whole lot - this is why he is even in the conversation. Comes to something when you have to have preparatory fights before facing Parker. Put AJ in with Takam / that'd be much better than a shot Stiverne.
