I believe Ward will never fight Kovalev while he is a threat. I even have a thread saying he wont fight him in 2016.

I really hope I'm wrong though because seeing Ward's head delivered in a silver platter would make my day.

Ward is no coward like Golovkin, he'll fight.

Golovkin chose to unify the middleweight division, nothing wrong with that at all, boxing fans prefer one champion per division.
Having said that a fight between Ward and Golovkin is still possible, especially if Ward beats Kovalev and Stevenson and Golovkin beats Canelo.
A match up between the Unified Light heavyweight and Middleweight champion would be massive.

If this is true, then I was wrong about Ward being scared. I'll believe it if the fight happens as scheduled, this year, no later. If it happens, I'll say I was wrong for sure, but this is a good sign that I was, and that the fight may actually happen.

Ward still fights way too many tuneups per good fight, and wasted years of his career, and holds and all of that, but if he actually wanted the Kovalev fight and goes through with it this year, I'll say I was wrong about that.
