Difference being that there's billions of $$$ and £££ in soccer worldwide. Boxing is a much lower ranked sport.
Hell, golf, snooker and darts get much higher viewer ratings. Viewers determine advertising money. Two or three million viewers every few months is not going to get anyone multi million $$$.
The numbers are off. It is quite odd.
You're underestimating just how much money is involved in boxing.
Oh wow. Okay. I thought it was only boxing, really. I watch other sports sometimes but I don't ever really follow them. 30 million like it's nothing. That's insane. That money could definitely be put to better use. There's a ton of waste in general really.

I'm sure, but where does the bulk of money in boxing come from? I understand the big events but I don't see how so many make such a big living (and of course all the middle and lower rankers).

I imagine many of them work full time jobs to go along with their meager purses. I know Glen Johnson did for a long time.
