They don't have to pay it forward, but they should. You forget Pac and Floyd both made their names fighting Oscar. Garcia is a crap fight but i would really like to see Mayweather vs Thurman or Pacquiao vs Spence.

They might not OWE anything but seeing as they are still viewed as the top 2 in welterweight at least one of them should remember where they came from and pay it forward.

Both Manny and Floyd started earning big after Oscar so you could say they did need it.

I personally could care less if Manny of Floyd ever fight again but if they do it better be the best.

It's hard to get the fights you want when every promoter/manager has their own agenda for their own fighters and keeps their fights in-house.

Add in that there are tons of different boxing organizations with a ton of champions with BS paper titles so the word "champion" doesn't carry meaning anymore.

May Pac was the worst thing that could happen to boxing, every casual bought that PPV and they realized boxing is Trash, boxing is horrible. You have one small, old guy who tried, and you have one bigger old guy who ran and won one of the worst stinkers in boxing history.

Boxing suffers, PPV suffers because of the May Pac fiasco.

They should have fought each other in 2010 and not 5 years late.

Same with Canelo now destroying one of the most talked about fights, promising to fight GGG and maybe fighting GGG when he is close to 40.

But 900,000 bought Canelo vs Cotto. And 600,000 bought Canelo vs Khan. That's the best PPV's he did besides Floyd. And both were after Floyd. You make no sense

Boxing is deeper than it has been in years. I think there's way more exciting fights to be made at the moment than there was when Mayweather and Pacquiao were fighting the past few years. Whether or not those fights get made is another story though.

Guerrero? Bradley Part XVI? Berto? Algieri? I'm glad those sham fights aren't alienating fans from the sport anymore.
