  • Comments Thread For: WBC Prez: Decision on Povetkin, Wilder Shot Coming Next Week

World Boxing Council (WBC) President Mauricio Sulaiman has paid very close attention to the recent ruling handed down by WADA [World Anti Doping Agency] as it relates to the recently banned substance Meldonium.

Six month suspension retroactive beginning in April. Wilder won't be ready to fight again for another 3 months anyway. That's fair. I hope the WBC is better prepared the next time this happens. Hopefully they learn from this.

At the rate Wilder is going he'll retire in 2 years 50-0 with the WBC belt. Having only faced one real fighter, Steverine. Hahahaaa

This mfer with his pending decisions for the last month & a half. Imma punch this mfer in his throat if I ever see him in person with his drama queen ass.

Imagine it'll be no punishment with a do over with the fight. I'd assume the purse bid won by World of Boxing will stand although I don't think it'd be crazy if he suggests a new purse bid take place since this whole thing may have increased or decreased the value of this fight & its probably not happening til Nov or later at this point.

I'd hope Wilder just says "cool" & this will have been just a ****** bump in the road, but with all the drama & lawsuits & options to fight Fury, Klitschko or Joshua that he could be a drama queen himself & drop the belt & go for bigger fish/paydays out of spite.

****ing brainless poster, you should be banned. The WADA has just announced that people like Povetkin would get cleared based on the results of their scientific studies over the excretion rate of Meldonium and you come here with a suspension? no suspension assh0le. He will probably be declared clean.

The WBC did nothing wrong. The problem is that the WADA banned a substance without knowing its excretion rate before. New theories explain that if Meldonium is stored on fat then it can be excreted in bigger amounts when the person loses fat.

They depend on what WADA and VADA determines. Why would they ban Povetkin if the last WADA document says Povetkin probably didn't take meldonium after it was banned? It doesn't mention him but it mentions the group in which Povetkin is (less than 1 microgram per mililiter).
