I want my American HW to do much better than that..
You all already know Ustinov decided to fight Ortiz again Wilder is getting hated on for what other peoples decisions..Arreola is not ideal but given the short/last minute notice and tv schedule their is a deadline to meet...Also Wilder has been in training camp for a very long time now you cant get sparring partners like Molina and Naggy whenever you want and pay them again for another camp....reality boys.

If Wilder is so adamant on fighting on that date then he should make it a non-title fight. Arreola has done absolutely nothing to warrant a title shot and wasn't even ranked by the WBC until after Wilder and his people picked him for an easy title defence. It's garbage, and even you as a staunch Wilder fan shouldn't be defending it.

Sounds like he's trying to defend himself to me, and your agreeing with him makes you an apologist by proxy.

Regardless of the Povetkin situation this is a terrible fight. The fact that Wilder wants to make this an official title defence and the WBC are allowing him to do so makes it even worse. And this is coming from someone who defended his previous choice of opponents.

You would think given the circumstances you would give Wilder a pass -- any reasonable person would...but you got it in for Wilder..I see right through you.

I have no problem with Wilder taking a stay busy fight while the Povetkin situation is worked out, but if he's going to take a soft touch then it shouldn't be classed as an official title defence. I'd also prefer he doesn't fight someone who's coming off a terrible run of form and recently got suspended for a drugs violation, but I can see you don't give a toss about that.
