Trying to silence his critics is a useless waste of time and effort. Most of his critics are extremely unreasonable and they would continue to trash him even if he KOed Lara in the 1st round.
He never really knocked out someone cold. I'm willing to bet he have more TKO then KO was the point I was trying to make. He never made anyone sleep like Marquez did Manny. Eubank chin isn't going to help the fight from stopping because GGG is a great boxer. GGG doesn't just head hunt he throws a bunch of body shots too. Eubank Jr "iron chin" isn't going to help him this fight. I bet this fight Jr corners is going to throw in the tower within 10 rounds or referee stop and it's only going to go that long because GGG normally tries to drag the fight on longer then he normally have to.

See the response in this thread. At least with a win over Lara he would silence some of these critics. I think both fights would get stop in 8 but I rather see Lara get the fight not because I think it's a better fight but because he would accomplish more with that win then a win over eubank.
Eubank is just a much bigger fight. It's gonna be a global event. Lara OTOH is a fat money loss for the promoter. Which sometimes happens, but not for a massive underdog coming up in weight

I did some research to see where Eubank is ranked in the world by all the different well known ranking places I know of. He is ranked 2nd by both the WBA and the WBC.He is ranked 6th by the IBF, 11th by the WBO, 6th by ring magazine, 4th by boxrec, 9th by boxing scene and 8th by ESPN. If he isn't a world class fighter then why does every place that ranks boxers rank him as a world class fighter?

Jesus Christ, you guys and this Lara crap. Lara in the ring is like a squirrel getting trapped in your living room.

When/if GGG were to KO Lara people will instantly say it was a mismatch and bring up his weight. This is the same guy who had trouble with Canelo.

                GGG
Higher ring IQ than Canelo, heavier, better foot work, harder punch etc... This will not end well for Lara.

I see what you mean. He is much more skillful than many give him credit for and he does take his time and is in no hurry for the KO. He just pounds away and often the ref stops the fight or they throw in the towel as you say. He does have very good power with both hands to the head and the body. I guess the main thing is he lands his punches consistently and relentlessly and ends up with the KO win sooner or later.

Slow Angulo was able to drop Lara twice. Surely the vastly superior and faster GGG would catch Lara and finish him.

[QUOTE=Freedom2016;16834243]Here is my reasoning on why it should definitely be Eubank Jr.

Whilst I will give Lara props for being a superb amateur boxer with a lot of skills to his game more so than Eubank Jr but the problem with all of that is he isn't that big of a fighter and he would have to go up to 160 for the very first time to fight a guy who has been putting people to sleep that have NEVER ever been KOed before take that into consideration with the fact Lara has tasted the canvas several times against by far lesser type of opponents than GGG now for the final part which some may disagree with but the fact he is a fighter who likes to fight primarily on the backfoot I see that as a huge disadvantage Lara isn't as well rounded as GGG and for that I think he would be punished and stopped quicker than Eubank Jr (assuming Eubank Jr doesn't win or see's 12)

Reasons for Eubank Jr is he undoubtedly has a chin just like several of past opponents that GGG has fought, he is a big 160lber and his work-rate is nothing short of amazing now for the downside in the exact same mould as Lara I think Eubank is only good at coming forward but GGG isn't as good when he isn't pressing the distance on someone that is my thinking of it and I just genuinely believe Eubank Jr would give the better test of the two.[/QUOTE
Lara was down twice against angulo, that is it, and he was fighting on a phone booth ring, a rehydration clause, only for him, and the mat was a memory foam, now I don't like his style but I do like the fact that he is challenging himself, I don't see too many boxers trying to make the best fights...
