Comments Thread For: Haye: Only Person Who Can Beat Golovkin at 160 - is Eubank!

Former two division world champion David Haye believes British middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (23-1, 18KOs) is the only man capable - at the 160 limit - of defeating WBC/IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) his first defeat as a pro.

So boxer who couldn't beat Billy Joe '18 months away' Saunders can actually beat GGG?

They really need to get an early detection CTE test.

Couple of things I'd question. That a 'sickeningly one sided' contest is 'great to watch' and that he looked like a 'proper pound for pound fighter' for outclassing a British level opponent.

I'd take into account his assessment that he thinks Jr's capable based on sparing with him and watching him spar Froch and Groves though.

I don't think anyone should take Hayes comments seriously. He feels it's national duty to rally behind Eubanks. He said flattering things about Hatton beating Mayweather, Khan beating everyone who knocked him out.

Eubanks gets hit and that will be his undoing. I know GGG has been beating bums but I don't think Eubank would beat the bums GGG beat.

Last weekend he looked slow and too stiff. Based on that performance I would say no... Maybe Haye knows something we don't.

Haye sat in the sky studio and pick Hatton to beat Mayweather, when everyone else in that studio didn't, even Haye himself didn't believe Hatton was going to win but he picked him regardless... So I wouldn't really take his comments in the media as gospel, would like what he thinks in private doe.
