Breazeale is a relatively untested prospect whose best win is a close competitive slugfest to Amir Mansour. He also has a very disputed win over Fred Kassi that exposed his stylistic failings. Besides that, he's fought no one of note.

Duhaupas in comparison (Wilder's best defence IMO) is a seasoned pro who's had competitive showings against Teper, Charr and Helenius, winning two (knocking out the undefeated Helenius) and narrowly losing the other to a man who was later banned for taking performance enhancing drugs.

Neither man is a bum (neither are Szpilka or Molina really), though Duhaupas is clearly the more proven and experienced contender at this moment.

Wilder still has povetkin problems. He is a typical haymon fighter, a disgrace to the sport who calls out all the big names and then only fights bums he knows he will win against. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if we see wilder fight rod salka next.

If they can hype this fight and put it on NBC at 10pm est, that would be amazing, don't even think about putting it on Showtime.

Have to agree. The biggest reason, besides his obviously inflated record, would be... illeism is a dead giveaway for anyone who has way too high of an opinion of themselves. Some of it is just grandstanding for the press, obviously, but if you've actually been around Wilder, you'd see it's thick. A seriously sad case of attention ho. And I wanted to smack the idiot if he said 'Oh most definitely' one more time during the Joshua/Breazeale fight. Guy is really irritating with that boring ego b.s. he comes up with every time. Joshua will really hurt this guy if they meet. It will be a flat out destruction. Can't wait!

As for the venue... it HAS to happen in England. That's by far the biggest money maker. Alabama comes in a distant and embarrassing second.

I think Szpilka is better than Brazile.

Spot on comment fella......one is AJ hurts and finishes him as soon as closes him down....secondly if Joshua is making 4 million a fights sells out big arenas and is a household name why on earth does he need to fight wilder to gain a name ... I would agree with him if it was the era of Lewis , Tyson, bowe and Holyfield but that's a era that's closed in America ...but I know for sure Joshua would still travel to America and beat him....wilder would get smashed 100%

big difference is Joshua absolutely battered breazeale and he looked he had been run over by a tractor after Joshua was done with him and if the ref never jumped in unfairly in the 2nd he would probably have been knocked out....he also landed no more than 4 or 5 shots on Joshua where is dauphas was in the fight with wilder and it was a fairly close contest !!! wilder was lucky to get a stoppage at the end ... I'm glad we cleared this up now

He can punch and carries late round power.
Let's get it right, Breazeale is absolute crap in the ring. He literally does nothing well except for his feet maybe and take a punch.

But the same can be said about nearly all of Wilder's opponents except for Stiverne and Duhaupas.

The big difference between Joshua and Wilder is not their opponents - they are relatively evenly matched. It's how the deal with them and how they look in the ring.

Wilder has been coming out bruised in fights against guys he was expected to KO in the first rounds like Molina, Szpilka and Duhaupas.

Joshua literally doesn't take a punch (except for Whyte) and looks like an oil painting after a fight, and pretty much doesn't get out of first gear (again, except for Whyte).

Some of those guys Wilder has been fighting has taken him to 3rd and 4th gear, and he hasn't always looked good. In fact, he's looked directly bad in some fights.

Mix it up? You mean he takes punches well. He's wasn't punching with Joshua. Joshua was getting his punches off and Breazeale was covering up.

Joshua is one of the biggest stars who generates the most money in world boxing. Any 'fans' who don't know him are ******ed. Wilder needs Joshua. Joshua destroys Wilder.
