  • Is Luis Ortiz Overrated Poll?!?!?!?

Is Luis Ortiz overrated? He is 37 his best wins were two guys coming off losses and were both fighters who people criticized Klitschko for fighting and he looks much slower than when he was in the Amateurs and was beat by Mike Perez in the Amateurs so I don't really get the hype. He used anabolic steroids twice should be banned from boxing imo.

He looks good but it is hard to tell off the fights so far. I think he is for real though.

He's a heavy with some slickness. How many of those have we gotten to see in the last 20 years? Why do people dislike him? Let him get in there with top comp and see what he's made of. Thus far, no one mentions his name and he's a fkn boogeyman. I think Fury mentioned him once and that was when he called him "a dangeroug c**t" or something to that extent.
When people bring up his age as a reason to dislike him, it's obvious that they're not being objective and they never liked him to begin with.

Networks don't like to hype unknown, aging fighters. There's no money in it. Ortiz really earned the attention he's getting.

I've got the problem that he failed more than one test, so for me, i prefer champions who are clean until they proved guilty.

Outside of Joshua he's the most over hyped guy at heavyweight who's done the least. Although with Joshua at least it's standard that a guy in his position would be hyped a lot.

Ortiz is already past his prime at 37 + has virtually nothing on his resume + has been busted for PEDs. He's gotta be the most heavily considered older guy who's done so little in the ring in a long ass time and maybe ever without thinking too hard about past late 30s guys with nothing or virtually nothing accomplished.

Only one way to tell. Get him in the ring with Haye, Fury, Wlad, Wilder or Joshua

If anyone ever criticises David Haye, just point them to this thread, if you ever want to see proof that some boxing fans (and a certain poster) have double standards.

But well done Ortiz for showing slickness against a man ready for retirement, and did I hear something about a failed drugs test? or was that just a rumour?

Ortiz's dominate stoppage over Jennings is better than anything Johsua has done and as good as Wilder's win over Stieverne. If he's such hype, Wilder could've chose to fight Ortiz instead of Arreola, same with Joshua choosing to fight Breazele. They both could've taken a fight with Ortiz.
