Schaefer bringing big $$$ investors to boxing

This hoes without saying. As soon as Schaefer said he was entertaining a return you had to know he had been raising capital. Isn't that what he's always done? Boxing is going to look very different in the next 3-5yrs.

floyd is different. most of his guys like badou jack and mickey bey aren't even with haymon. his cousin manages them.

I am not so sure that Schaefer is so willing to be a "sham" promoter without inking these fighters.

Floyd isn't THAT different. There are lotsa guys who arent with Haymon but signed with PBC promoters. I don't see why Schaefer wouldn't be able to do the same. Ultimately Haymon can't sign everyone. The critical mass of talent that PBC needs will largely grow from here in via his network of promoters and Haymon cherry picking the cream of the crop.

I just don't get why Haymon is shelving so many of his fighters. Not sure why he is punishing them. I mean I get Devon Alexander. He's been on a downward spiral and Porter I though should have got an interim fight when keef got hurt but even before it was scheduled for March originally these guys should have got Nov/Dec fights.

Then guys like Danny Jacobs off his big win, Lamont Peterson, Peter Quillin off just his first career loss will all have been on ice over 9 months even they finally fight. Jacobs shouldn't have been punished after that ko.

Then his favorites like Deontay and LSC are Bout to have their 2nd fights of the year way before these guys get their first why is he being a diick to them?

And he is different In that Floyd's non haymon guys bey Gavril jack etc fight in PBC cards all the time. You see dibella have to use shobox or his broadway boxing cards for his non haymon guys. Not the same with Floyd

Jacobs wanted to take some time off from what I understand. Quillin is, has been & will always be a space cadet so I doubt Haymon is "shelving him". I doubt Haymon is "shelving" many guys at all if any. I think Porter got shelved cuz of the TV issues + Thurman car accident & was kinda effed up, but that fight was so valued that they thought that the best course I can only assume to secure that fight happened.

He might have the wrong trainer than too cuz his trainer was talking about Jacobs needing 2 fights before GGG as well. Seems like there might be more mix ups going on with Jacobs & his team & Jacobs with his own timing of calling out GGG once GGG & his team are seemingly in the final days of signing deal to fight someone else.

I personally think they are just trying to save face at this point as it seems like there was a legit possibility of making that fight vs GGG in Sept or around that time, but they f#cked it all up with this dumbass Mora rematch & not pushing this WBA angle when Canelo made his pussified move. Now if he doesn't line up anything for early 2017 he's probably gonna have to wait til 2018 for that big fight vs Canelo or GGG.
