Give us Cutis Stevens at like 157 in December then Lemuiex at 160 in May 17, then GGG in Sept 17.. The Liam Smith fight makes no sense at all to me. Who the fk is gonna order that garbage?

Boxing fans won't get to see Saul Canelo' Alvarez any time soon in the one middleweight fight that most in the industry craved to witness, but can at least expect to see more of him in 2016.

Honestly I don't see it being on regular HBO. I don't see how they can. If they are pinching pennies over Loma vs Walters & hemming & hawing at even giving Ward his 2nd "tune up" like they have been doing I don't see how they can put Canelo on regular HBO with his big purses. They gonna need to auction off the opponent slot to the highest bidder or something maybe idk.Comment

GBP Plan: Three Crap Fights before Ducking GGG Again
We already know the story, it goes like this:
September 2016
Canelo v Smith--Cnelo misses weight again, renegotiates to fight at 155.5 and now for no title. Smith loses a split decision with one judge giving Canelo an insane amount of rounds. Canelo wins but many people question if he should have.
December 2016
Canelo v Lemiuex-- Canelo is officially back at Caneloweight, but now Canelo weight is 156. Lemiuex looks half dead at 156 and is KO'd in round 7. Canelo fans think this means Canelo us better than GGG because he beat Lemiuex quicker. Lemiuex almost dies of dehydration.
May 2017.
Canelo v. Brooks. Broojs s dragged up to 157. Canelo wins 12 round SD, but again one judge has Canelo winning where everyone else says bs.
June 2017. Golden Boy Announce Canelo isn't a MW and needs to tune up at 160 before fighting GGG. Fight moved to September 2018.
Thus will change if GGG starts o show signs to weakness anytime for Sep. 2017.Comment

Canelo on regular HBO versus hopefully a legit middleweight hopefully at 160, I don't see how that's a bad thing, especially when we already know he isn't fighting Golovkin until next year
1 - He will likely be fighting at a catchweight again. Whatever middleweight he chooses to fight will likely be out of sorts from dehydration and their struggle to make 156lbs, or whatever silly weight Canelo chooses.
2 - Despite not being on ppv, he will still want a hefty paycheck. That means HBO will be using a substantial amount of money, from a budget that has already been cut. This will translate to great fights that should be showcased on HBO being forced to PPV. Much like what happened with Golovkin-Lemieux and Postol-Crawford.
I would imagine most boxing fans would rather see several great fights on HBO and just let Canelo continue fighting his mismatches on ppv. That's how I feel, anyway.Comment

He's gonna fight some bum at 155 again, so he can keep his lineal MW title and can avoid both the top dogs at 154 and 160. He will milk that title.
Rematch Cotto in December and Pacquiao in May 2017.Comment

It is charity from Canelo to appear on HBO. They should change it to GBO. Golden Boy Office. Just for the privilege.Comment
