Why don't you read your own thread before calling out people for not posting..

I simple said roy jones from post-toney from 95-99 comes close to ward's last 4 years as roy fought very subpar competition for a p4p elite.. Montel was about the best guy he fought, and there was about a dozen complete mismatches.. Most of that has to do with the division at the time being so putrid.. By 2000 roy was fighting much better caliber fighters in Harding, woods, julio, etc..

I would also say roman gonzalez has been treading water since his 2012 victory over Estrada...

While roys and Romans have been more active in those years compared to ward, the mismatched competition, the overall competition level is way below normal p4p elite guys.. For any top level p4p elite to go four years without a major big fight is very rare

How does that work for you?
GGG has 0 world level wins his entire damn career

You all got embarrassed in the other thread I made, don't make me bump it. You even avoided voting in it you knew **** was that bad for you.

STop being a fighter fan and trying to look for the next Mayweather to slurp off and start being a boxing fan.
Do you honestly think wins over Murray, Lemuiex Geale and whoever the **** else you mentioned makes a fighter p4p top 3?

Mcallum, Hill, Johnson, Griffin are all leagues and leagues above Barrera, Smith and Rodriguez. It's not even close.

Yeah Jones had pretty average opposition for a guy who was supposedly p4p no. 1 but it's not even close.

So you can't vote yes...if I had a maybe option, it would've made sense but how does voting yes make sense?

He annihilated those guys and looked at least 3 levels above them and they were all world level middleweights.

But like I keep saying, stay on topic.

What has Ward done to stay on the p4p list for 4 years. Stop bringing up fRoch from 2011. That's not relevant here. Stop saying GGG has weaker overall opposition because not only is it irrelevant to this thread, it's not entirely true because Wards resume is pretty thin beyond Froch and Kessler, that too a life time ago.

If you can't answer the question, just hold your hand up and say you were wrong. It's an internet forum, it won't hurt your street cred in brooklyn.

Mccallum, Reggie, hill were all pretty past it, and basically big name mismatches for a prime p4p elite..

Make better poll options next time, and don't assume because somebody voted yes, that it automatically makes them talking about ggg.. I didn't mention ggg once

Listen, the reason I highlighted you is because I know you normally give sound reasons, even if you had said GGG, I'm pretty sure you would have given better reasons than "but 2011".

STill, you can't vote yes as being busy, winning world titles across 2 more divisions and beating legitimate former world title holders is still better than what Ward has done. IT was a pretty bad vote and you just have to admit it.

Yes means there was definitely a worse fighter, there hasn't been.

Gonzalez (whcih you mentioned) might be a better argument as I'm still iffy with him being on top top p4p lists but he has looked imperious against his opposition.

Kessler and Froch weren't disputed since... when?
When you need to clinch after landing a punch it goes to show how lacking in a real boxing IQ you are, Ward is basically portrayed as this next successor to Floyd Mayweather but the simple facts is he isn't anywhere near as talented as Golovkin, Pacquiao, Crawford, Joshua and so on.

The moment Ward actually wins a fight without having to turn a boxing match into a wrestling match is the moment I will give him his due credit but as things stand he cheated his way to a victory over Froch and Kessler and then shamefully ducked both men when they look to seek revenge why did he duck them?
BECAUSE both fighters were going to make sure the referee obeyed the rules of the book, its sad that Americans so called best can't even fight clean.

                Kessler
“Ward just doesn’t want to fight. Sometimes you should make rules against clinching. When I fought him in 2009 he clinched me 88 times. When we watched it on tape we actually counted. I tried to push him away but he’s clever at what he does. He’s a world champion of that. But I think he’s actually scared. He throws fast punches, light punches, and then holds you. It’s so boring. That’s why he has no fans. He’s not a big name and he likes to stay at home.

                  Kessler
The Kessler fight was one of the most disgusting displays I have ever seen and tbf, Froch beat Abraham just as well, if not better than Ward. The bika fight was an ugly affair but a lot of that is down to Bika himself...then again, Calzaghe beat a better version.

So basically, Wards run all depends on the Froch fight and props to Ward for winning it comfortably. And I really do mean comfortably. Froch got in some good shots as the fight wore on but tbh Ward was too strong for Froch, which is a rare thing to say of a Froch opponent.
